Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is enjoying a strong response from audiences, with the emotional family drama directed by Shiva Nirvana emerging as a major success. The film is also closing in on the Rs. 100 crore mark, adding to its impressive theatrical run.
Speaking at the film’s blockbuster press meet, Ravi Teja praised the entire cast and crew for their contribution to the movie’s success. He particularly appreciated the performances of Komaram, Bhargav, Kishore, and Ramesh Indira, along with the actors who portrayed the students.
Ravi Teja also had special praise for G.V. Prakash Kumar, calling his music the soul of Irumudi. He said the background score and songs play a crucial role in creating the emotional impact of several scenes and can even bring tears to viewers.
The actor revealed that his daughter Moksha was also moved while watching the film. Ravi Teja recalled how he had watched several Tamil and Malayalam films during the COVID period and admired their rooted storytelling. Those experiences made him wonder why Telugu cinema could not tell similarly grounded stories.
According to Ravi Teja, the response to Irumudi has made him extremely happy. He said the film has become a topic of discussion across social media and among audiences, and watching their emotional reactions was deeply moving for him.
Interestingly, Ravi Teja admitted that he himself became emotional while watching the film. He revealed that he usually does not cry easily, describing himself as someone who is emotionally strong. However, even he reportedly became overwhelmed during the dubbing process after watching certain portions of the movie.
The actor also recalled his first reaction when director Shiva Nirvana narrated the character of Trinath and explained the concept behind the title Irumudi. Ravi Teja said he immediately felt that the idea was something special and praised Shiva for his vision and grounded nature despite the film’s success.
Ravi Teja further appreciated Priya Bhavani Shankar, particularly highlighting two scenes in the second half that he felt played a major role in strengthening the emotional impact of the story.
He also showered praise on Baby Nakshatra, saying that the young actress delivered an impressive performance and has a bright future ahead.
With strong audience reactions, emotional content, and impressive performances driving its theatrical run, Irumudi continues to strengthen its position at the box office. For Ravi Teja, the film appears to be particularly special, not only because of its success but also because of the emotional impact it had on him personally.
