Prabhas Resumes Shooting for The Raja Saab in Hyderabad; Release Locked for January 2026

Tollywood superstar Prabhas is back on sets as his much-awaited film The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, resumed shooting in Hyderabad after being briefly halted due to the union strike.

The new schedule, which kicked off today, will feature key sequences with Prabhas and other cast members and continue until the end of the month. Following this, the team will head to Kerala on September 17, 2025, to film Prabhas’ grand introduction song. Two additional songs will later be shot abroad, wrapping up the film’s production.

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad confirmed that shooting will be completed by October 2025, with the movie slated for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026, aligning with the festive season.

The horror-comedy-romance boasts a star cast with Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agerwal as female leads, while Sanjay Dutt will be seen as Prabhas’ grandfather. Promising a unique blend of entertainment, The Raja Saab is gearing up to be a festive treat for fans.

Krish Jagarlamudi and Anushka Shetty’s next film, Ghaati, is gearing up for release, and expectations are gradually building.

This marks the director’s second collaboration with Anushka after their earlier successful outing. The Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty actress is returning to the big screen with Ghaati, and the recently released theatrical trailer has generated a positive response among film circles, sparking anticipation. However, the film’s promotions remain relatively low-key.

Despite having solid content and favorable buzz, the makers have yet to capitalize on the opportunity to push the film aggressively to the audience. Apart from Anushka, who is undoubtedly the crowd-puller, the film stars Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu in the lead. While he adds weight to the cast, he does not hold the same box office pull as Anushka.

Director Krish Jagarlamudi, meanwhile, finds himself in the spotlight again. After stepping away from Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which failed to impress, fans and industry insiders continue to believe that Krish’s creative touch could have made a difference. Known for his knack for weaving compelling narratives, Krish is confident that Ghaati will stand out for its unique storyline, one not explored before on the big screen.

For now, fans are eagerly waiting for Anushka to step forward and lead the promotions, as her return to form is what many are looking forward to the most.
