It is known that Naga Chaitanya has signed a film with Manam director Vikram K Kumar after wrapping up Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story.
The latest news from the film unit is that the movie has been titled ‘Thank You’. According to the sources, the writer BVS Ravi and producer Dil Raju had felt that this title would be apt when they were working on the script.
But director Mahi had reportedly registered this title before and he gave it away immediately when producer Dil Raju requested the title.
The central government is said to be considering easing up of the lockdown protocols in the state, after May 3rd. This is to enable the healing of the Indian economy, which has been suffering because of the nationwide lockdown.
The state of Karnataka has already started to put this into motion, by allowing inter-state travel. Karnataka had started out with a huge number of cases at the start of the pandemic in the country. However, the state has seen a major decrease in the number of cases ever since then.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30. The actor was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. Rishi Kapoor was battling cancer since 2018, and was in the US for treatment for a year. The actor’s brother, Randhir Kapoor, told the media on Wednesday night that he was admitted to the hospital due to his health deteriorating.
Rishi was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and he returned to India from New York in September last year, after his cancer treatment. He was taken to the hospital on Wednesday morning, his brother Randhir Kapoor said yesterday.
An official statement confirming the actor’s demise read, “Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8.45 am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff said he kept them entertained to the last.
“He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him.
“He was grateful for the love of his fans that poured in from the world over. In his passing, they would all understand that he would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears.
“In this hour of personal loss, we also recognise the world is going through a very difficult and troubled time. There are numerous restrictions around movement and gathering in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of the family to please respect the laws that are in force.
“He would not have it any other way.”Rishi Kapoor was last seen in the web series The Body on Netflix. He had also shot for a film in Delhi earlier this year.

National Award-winning south Indian actress Priyamani, who appeared in the new digital film “Ateet”, says working with actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Rajeev Khandelwal, Sanjay Suri to Rana Dagubaatti in the recent time has surely helping her grow as an actress.While she made her digital debut with the web series “The Family Man” last year, the film “Ateet” is her second outing in the OTT space.
“I shot ‘Ateet’ a little before the shooting of ‘The Family Man’ started. So, technically this was my first film in Hindi language and, being an actress in the South, it was quite obvious for me to have the support of co-actors to perform well. It is interesting that both Rajeev and Sanjay are very different in their style of acting. So it is interesting for me to work with them,” Priyamani told IANS.
“Manoj sir, on the other hand, improvises a lot and comes up with something that creates magic. So as a co-actor if I am not alert, I might just miss out on the moment! So yes, when you work with Manoj sir, you are a student. I am lucky to have worked with these actors who are very sensible and skilled,” she added.

As said by the chief minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao, over 97% of the patients who are currently being treated for Coronavirus are showing signs of improvement. Many of them will be discharged in the near future.
A total of 1003 people tested positive for Coronavirus in Telangana till now and going by KCR’s comments, it looks like over 970 of them are recovering.
Also, KCR claimed that Telangana will be free from Coronavirus very soon and that is a very encouraging comment.
Only 2 cases were reported in Telangana in the past 24 hours, as said in the medical bulletin that was released by the state government.
KCR further added that by today, April 28th, 21 districts in Telangana will not even have a single active case and that would mean that the red zones will be coming down soon.

The number of coronavirus cases in India is increasing by the day, and the numbers have crossed 31,000 cases as of today. While this a big number, it is very small when compared to India’s population and the kind of lifestyle in a few areas.
However, despite the increase of new cases in India, the rate of recovery in India looks absolutely promising. Out of 31,332 total cases in India, 22,629 cases are positive, with 7,695 people having been cured and discharged from the hospitals, and a total of 1,0007 people have died.
When compared to many other countries like the USA, Italy, Spain, and France, India is in a much better position with a good rate of recovery, and a lesser number of cases. All of the above countries have recorded the most number of deaths and cases in the world, with a lesser population than India.
The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) in Nagpur has been conducting research on the relation between the increase in temperature and a decrease in the number of coronavirus cases in the country.
According to the research, due to increased temperatures and humidity in Karnataka and Maharashtra, the number of new cases in both states are coming down.
However, NEERI has also said that social distancing is proving to be more effective than the temperatures and that people should keep following it in order to avoid the spreading of the virus.
Experts have been saying that the number of new cases will be coming down by mid-May, which is what everyone in India is hoping for.
Relieved over the declining trend in coronavirus cases in Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday exuded confidence that in the next few days, the state would be totally free from positive Covid-19 cases.
He said the decline in the number of cases augurs well for the state. After attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video conference with all the Chief Ministers, Rao held a review meeting with Health Minister Eatala Rajender and other top officials.
The officials informed the CM that on Monday, 159 samples were tested and out of them only two were found positive.KCR felt that the strict enforcement of the lockdown norms is resulting in a decline in the number of cases. He said the quarantine period of most of those found infected will end on May 8.
He, however, said the government will not be complacent in the wake of the drop in the number of cases.KCR said that as announced earlier, the lockdown will continue till May 7. He appealed to people to follow the lockdown norms and the government guidelines.
He announced that by Tuesday, 21 districts in the state would not have a single active case, adding that over 97 percent of the patients were recovering.KCR said with the virus spread being contained, the number of containment zones will also come down gradually.
He said the process to identify and test all those who came in contact with the returnees from the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi was continuing.

Irrfan Khan passed away today at a hospital in Mumbai, where he was admitted for colon infection. The 53-year-old actor had been battling cancer since 2018 and his official spokesperson had confirmed on Tuesday that he was under doctor’s observation. Irrfan is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons – Babil and Ayan. Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar penned a condolence note remembering the actor.
His family issued an official statement, “i trust, i have surrendered”; These were the some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heart felt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. And a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions with his deep eyes and his memorable actions on screen. It’s saddening that this day, we have to bring forward the news of him passing away.
Irrfan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him. After having been struck by lightning in 2018 with the news of a rare cancer, he took life soon after as it came and he fought the many battles that came with it. Surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about, he left for heaven abode, leaving behind truly a legacy of his own. We all pray and hope that he is at peace. And to resonate and part with his words he had said, “As if I was tasting life for the first time, the magical side of it”.

The state of Andhra Pradesh started out with a comparatively lesser number of coronavirus cases in the beginning. However, the cases have been rising constantly in the state, with the total number of cases crossing 1000.
In the last 24 hours, 80 cases were found to be positive in Andhra, taking the total number of cases to 1,177.
Out of the 1,177 cases, 235 people have been discharged, and 31 people have died. A total of 911 cases are now active in the state and are receiving treatment.
A total of 6517 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh, and 80 out of them tested positive.Experts say that the curve of new cases will slowly come down, and may go to zero during mid-May.
Going by the latest comments made by the chief minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao, the lockdown might be further extended in the state.
“If the common public cooperates with us for a few more days and stand by the lockdown regulations, it would make the situation better,” he said .
The TRS chief further added that the prime minister of India Narendra Modi has called for a video conference with the chief ministers across the country and final decision regarding the lockdown will be taken after the same.
KCR’s comments might be an indirect indication that the lockdown will be extended indefinitely in order to bring th situation under control.

In a bid to address the grievances of passengers during the nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of coronavirus, the Indian Railways emergency cell has responded to over 13,000 calls on a daily basis.
A railway ministry spokesperson said that railway emergency cell for Covid-19 is a comprehensive nationwide unit comprising of about 400 officers and staff from railway board to divisions.
“During the lockdown, the cell has been responding to about 13,000 queries, requests and suggestions everyday, from five communication and feedback platforms – helplines 139 and 138, social media, email and CPGRAMS. And more than 90 per cent of the queries were responded on one-to-one basis, mostly in the local language of the caller, over telephone,” he said.
The official said that due to this 24-hour working railways emergency cell for Covid-19 had its ears to the ground, leading to fleet-footed response to redress grievances of both Railways’ customers and general public.
He said that even RailMadad Helpline 139 answered over 2,30,000 queries on one-on-one basis in first four weeks of the lockdown, in addition to queries answered by its IVRS facility.
“During the same period, over 1,10,000 calls were received on Helpline 138, which is geo-fenced, that is, calls land on the nearest railway divisional control office (manned round-the-clock by railway personnel well-versed in local language and familiar with local issues) as per the location of the caller,” he said.
The railways has suspended passenger, mail and express train services until further orders to combat the spread of Covid-19. Only freight and special train services are running to ensure the supply of essential goods across the country.
