IND vs SA: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli returned home abruptly due to a family emergency, but fear not fans! He’ll be back in time to smash runs in the first Test against South Africa next week.
Kohli, initially part of the squad in South Africa, needed to attend to a pressing family matter. Thankfully, he had already secured permission from the BCCI for a short leave and missed the recent intrasquad match. While the nature of the emergency remains confidential, the good news is he’ll be rejoining the team on December 24, ready to train and face off against the Proteas.
Unfortunately, Ruturaj Gaikwad won’t be joining, as a fractured finger sustained while catching in the ODIs rules him out of the Test series. His absence opens up opportunities for other talented batters.
So, mark your calendars! The cricket action heats up in South Africa on December 26, with a determined Kohli primed to take center stage. While Gaikwad’s injury is a sad miss, the Test promises to be a thrilling clash of cricketing titans.
