The report predicts that brands will introduce interesting launches and offers to attract consumers during the festive season, with 5G expected to be a significant growth driver.

In terms of specific brands, Vivo’s strong offline presence, the growth of its sub-brand iQOO in the online segment, and multiple launches across price tiers contributed to its growth. OPPO emerged as the leading brand in the upper mid-tier range (Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000) segment with a market share of 21%.

However, the company failed to deliver the promised houses within the given deadlines, leading to protests by home buyers.

The ED’s investigations revealed that Mahira Infratech Pvt. Ltd. siphoned off homebuyers’ money by falsely booking construction expenses in group entities. The cash received from these fake purchases was used for personal gains by the directors and promoters of the Mahira Group. Moreover, the directors diverted home buyers’ funds to other group entities as personal loans.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the directors of Mahira Group siphoned off around Rs 107.5 crore from Mahira Infratech Pvt. Ltd. alone, including fake expenses of Rs 57 crore and loans to group entities amounting to Rs 50.50 crore. Investigations are ongoing with respect to financial transactions of four other affordable housing projects.

The directors and key employees of Mahira Group, namely Dharam Singh Chhoker, Sikander Singh, and Vikas Chhoker, were absent during the ED search and have not cooperated with the investigation so far. The ED issued freezing orders for the offices and bank accounts of Mahira Group during the search operations. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

Hirsh Vardhan Singh, an aerospace engineer, and Indian-American, has announced his bid for the Republican nomination in the 2024 US presidential race. In a video message posted on Twitter, Singh introduced himself as a lifelong Republican and a pro-life conservative who played a role in restoring the conservative wing of New Jersey’s Republican Party starting in 2017. This is his fourth attempt at running for public office, having previously run unsuccessfully for the US Senate in 2020.

In his message, Singh highlighted what he perceives as significant threats faced by Americans, including corruption in big tech and big pharma, as well as attacks on family values, parental rights, and open debate. He criticized the collaboration between the government and pharmaceutical companies to promote experimental vaccines and also voiced concerns about Big Tech’s invasion of privacy and censorship of political and differing viewpoints.

While Singh praised former President Donald Trump as the “greatest president of my lifetime,” he emphasized that America needs more than just Trump. He positioned himself as a pure conservative candidate, claiming that he never yielded to Covid vaccinations, and referenced a remark from New Jersey’s Democrat Senate President, who labeled him as “Trump on steroids.”

Singh joins a crowded list of Republican candidates vying for the presidential nomination, which includes Trump, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, Tim Scott, and Ryan Binkley. According to a recent Morning Consult poll, Trump has the highest support among voters, followed by DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Pence, and Scott.

Born to Indian immigrant parents, Hirsh Vardhan Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He entered New Jersey politics in 2017 when he ran for Governor and finished third in the race, obtaining only 9.8 percent of the vote share. He has also been recognized as an Aviation Ambassador by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2003.

A delegation of 21 Members of Parliament (MPs) from 16 parties belonging to the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) has embarked on a two-day visit to Manipur to assess the current situation in the state, which has been affected by violence.

Before their departure, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, spoke to the media and stated that the delegation plans to split into two groups to visit relief camps in Manipur. He emphasized that they should not be obstructed during their assessment.

Chowdhury stressed that peace and normalcy must be restored in Manipur, and the government should focus on resolving the issue of ethnic clashes rather than portraying it as merely a law and order problem. He urged the government not to divert attention from the seriousness of the situation in the state and avoid playing politics with this matter.

The MP also criticized the Prime Minister for not visiting Manipur earlier and suggested that it took pressure from the Opposition to prompt the government into action.

In response to the Prime Minister’s apparent oversight of the tensions in Manipur, Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi pointed out that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated and needs immediate attention.

With more than 2,500 PS5 games available, ranging from indie titles to AAA blockbusters, the console has a diverse library of games for players to enjoy.

Furthermore, Sony recently announced the ‘Access controller’ for the PS5, which will be available globally on December 6. This controller allows users to customize their layout, connect third-party accessibility accessories, and pair up to two Access controllers and one DualSense wireless controller together for collaborative gaming experiences.
