0

Samsung India on Friday kicked off the seventh edition of its pan-India campus program — Samsung E.D.G.E — inviting students from the top colleges of the country to work on real-life problem statements.

The company said it would also let them interact with Samsung’s top leaders and provide unique solutions to the problem statement at hand.

“At Samsung, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Over the years, Samsung E.D.G.E. has proved to be an enabler wherein students have the platform to showcase their creative solutions to real-life problems,” Ken Kang, President, and CEO, of Samsung SWA, said in a statement.

“As we enter the seventh edition of the program, we are confident that the young talent participating in the program will bring in even more insightful solutions and display their problem-solving skills,” Kang added.

This year, students from 27 campuses that include top B-Schools, engineering colleges and design schools will participate in the event, which will be held physically at campuses spread across the country.

The program consists of three rounds. The first round, the campus round, is about creativity, where the team members come together and put up an executive case summary based on their research and analysis.

The top teams that are shortlisted in the campus round work on a case study, and submit and present their detailed solutions at the regional round.

At the end of the regional round, the top 8 teams are selected and mentored by Samsung leaders on their respective solutions. The final eight teams battle it out in the National Round to arrive at the three winning teams.

UP healthcare facilities to be geo-tagged

0

The State Medical Faculty (SMF) in Uttar Pradesh has decided that all healthcare facilities attached to para-medical institutes will be geo-tagged.

Professor Alok Kumar, the secretary of SMF, a statutory body that monitors the conduct of para-medical institutes in the state, said that Remote Sensing Application Centre (RSAC) in the city will be contacted for the same.

Hospitals of para-medical institutes are often not on the same campus.

“In such cases, there are chances that the inspectors, who are not locals, are shown some other, well-equipped hospitals to get a better scorecard. We plan to snub such attempts through geo-tagging,” said Prof Kumar.

There are about 1,200 institutes, a chunk of which are located in semi-urban areas, offering paramedical courses in Uttar Pradesh.

Explaining how the move will help, Prof Kumar said: “During surprise inspections, an inspector (who is a medical faculty from another institute) will be shared the geographical location of the campus he/she is supposed to check. They will reach the institute and the hospital registered by the institute without the guidance of the owners.”

This way the actual hospital will be inspected and the chance of the inspector getting misguided will be eliminated completely, he observed.

The move is also aimed at improving the clinical training of students by eliminating fraud.

“If prescribed standards are maintained at hospitals, practical training will be better and hence we can produce good para-medical staff for both government and private hospitals,” said Prof Alok.

Teacher gets 20 yrs’ jail for sexually abusing minor boy in UP

0

A government primary school teacher has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by the court of additional district and sessions judge for sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy, seven years ago.

The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 of which half the amount would go to the child.

According to an FIR, the assault took place on May 14, 2015, when Vijendra Pal Singh allegedly took the child to the school’s roof and abused him.

After the boy’s family lodged a complaint, an FIR was registered against the teacher at the Narkhi police station under IPC sections 377 (unnatural offenses), 507 (criminal intimidation), and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Singh threatened to “beat and kill” the child if he dared to inform anyone about the incident, as per the FIR.

The victim’s father had said in his complaint that they got to know about the assault after the child’s health started deteriorating.

When the parents questioned the child, he narrated the incident and said that the teacher had been sexually assaulting him for the past several days.

The boy’s father alleged that he was being pressured by police to compromise with the accused.

Additional district government counsel Sanjeev Sharma said, “The statement of the child in court under CrPC 164 (recording of confessions and statements) played a significant role in the entire matter. On being found guilty, the teacher pleaded in court for less severe punishment. However, the court observed that he had committed a heinous crime.”

S.Korea’s unemployment rate hits all-time low

South Korea’s unemployment rate hit an all-time low last month, but the pace of job growth slowed down for the third month in a row amid economic uncertainties, new data revealed on Friday.

The number of employed people stood at 28.41 million in August, up 807,000 from a year earlier, according to the data compiled by Statistics Korea.

It is the highest on-year rise for any August since 2000 when the country added 848,000 jobs from the previous year, reports Yonhap News Agency.

The country’s job market has improved markedly after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the number of employed people constantly rising since March last year.

But the growth slowed down for the third consecutive month, from 935,000 jobs added in May to 841,000 jobs in June and to 826,000 jobs last month.

The slowdown in job growth came as South Korea is facing multiple economic challenges, such as high inflation and slowing growth, amid external uncertainties over the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war and global monetary tightening.

The country’s jobless rate fell 0.5 percentage points on year to 2.1 percent in August, the lowest level since the statistics agency adopted the current data compiling methods to analyze the job market in 1999.

The employment rate of people aged 15 and older rose 1.6 percentage points on year to 62.8 percent in August, the highest for any August since the statistics agency began compiling related data in 1982, according to the data.

The number of economically inactive people — those who are neither working nor actively seeking jobs and people outside the labor force — reached 16.25 million in August, down 3.1 percent from a year earlier.

It marked the 18th consecutive month of an on-year fall.

The number of permanent workers grew by 907,000 on-year last month, while that of temporary workers and daily laborers fell by 78,000 and 97,000, respectively.

The increase in job posts for older adults led to overall growth.

More than half of the jobs added in August, or 454,000 jobs, were for people aged 60 and older, followed by 182,000 new positions taken by those in their 50s. Some 98,000 people in their 30s and 81,000 people in their 20s also landed jobs.

But the number of the employed among those in their 40s fell for the second consecutive month in August, the data showed.

Plane carrying Queen Elizabeth’s coffin becomes most tracked flight ever

0

The flight, which carried Queen Elizabeth II’s basket, has the broken record for aviation, Based on the aviation tracker website.

The website, Flightradar 24, said that about five million people followed along online as the late Queen was flown from Edinburgh to London on Tuesday, CNN reported.

That number is derived from two sources — 4.79 million people who followed the flight’s journey on Flightradar24’s website and mobile app, plus an additional 296,000 who tracked the plane on YouTube.

That smashes the previous record, achieved just last month during US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s controversial visit to Taiwan.

Her plane’s journey to Taipei was tracked by about 2.9 million people, CNN quoted the website as saying.

The Royal Air Force plane carrying the Queen spent an hour and 12 minutes in flight.

It landed at RAF Northolt, a military station about six miles from Heathrow Airport in London.

From Northolt, the Queen’s coffin was taken to Buckingham Palace.

On Wednesday, the coffin was escorted to Westminster Hall, Parliament, where the Queen will lie in state until her funeral on September 19 in Westminster Abbey, CNN reported.

Before Pelosi’s Taiwan visit, the most popular flight search on Flightradar24 was Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny’s flight back to Russia, where he was going to be put in prison upon arrival in 2021.

BYJU’S have to pay Rs 2,000 cr to clear Aakash acquisition deal on Sep 23

0

Edtech major BYJU’s is set to pay the remaining amount of nearly Rs 2,000 crore to VC firm Blackstone in the $1 billion acquisition of Aakash Educational Services on September 23.

According to BYJU’s financial report FY21, “as per the terms of the agreement for the acquisition of Aakash Educational Services, consideration to the extent of Rs 1,983 crore was due to be paid by the company to the sellers in June 2022. This has been deferred to September 23, 2022”.

Blackstone has nearly 38 percent stake in Aakash and BYJU’s has paid nearly 75 percent of the Aakash acquisition amount.

Meanwhile, BYJU’s is likely to raise over $500 million (nearly Rs 3,900 crore) at a valuation of around $23 billion soon, and the funds may be utilized to pay the remaining amount in the Aakash deal.

In its FY21, BYJU’s registered Rs 2,428 crore as revenue over a massive loss of Rs 4,500 crore.

According to the company, the rationalized growth between FY21 and FY20 is a result of the changes made in the way BYJU’S recognizes its revenue, “as advised by its auditors”.

According to legal experts, If BYJU does not pay Aakash by September 23, the edtech major will need to knock at the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) doors for completing the transaction.

BYJU did not comment on the development.

Last month, BYJU’s said it had closed the $1 billion acquisition of offline test preparatory services provider Aakash, one of the largest deals in the edtech space.

The company had said in a statement that its payments to Aakash are “closed”.

Fans will create an amazing atmosphere in ISL this season, says Anirudh Thapa

0

Indian national football team midfielder Anirudh Thapa is looking forward to playing in front of packed stands in the upcoming Hero Indian Super League (ISL) as it welcomes back fans across stadiums after a gap of two years.

The Chennaiyin FC captain revealed the fans were a significant miss over the last two seasons. With India’s premier football league returning to the 10 venues across the country, players are thrilled to have the support back from the stands.

“I think the fans are excited and so are we. They will be back after two years. We missed them and it will be great to meet them and entertain them. Having fans will create an amazing atmosphere in this season’s ISL for sure,” said Thapa.

“Last two years have been tough for us. I can recall the packed stands in Chennai with the people of the city behind us in each and every match. There have been special nights at the Marina Arena and I am looking forward to experiencing them back once again,” added the versatile midfielder.

Chennaiyin embarks on their ISL 2022-23 campaign on October 10th away against ATK Mohun Bagan in Kolkata. Thapa also suggested it is just not the Chennai crowd that he wants to put up a special show in front of. The 24-year-old revealed he is equally excited about the away matches as well.

“You know the matches in Bengaluru, Kochi, and Kolkata will be amazing as well because you have a great turnout in these centers. I am most excited to play the four teams away from home as well,” Thapa said.

The ISL fixtures have been specially designed between Thursdays and Sundays as the weekend-centric schedule allows for more fans and their families to make the trip to the stadiums to catch the action from the stands.

Thapa reckons the scheduling will be a major boost for all involved. “Weekly matches will be nice for both players and fans and will give ample time in between matches so everyone can enjoy better.”

Two-time ISL champions Chennaiyin had tied down Thapa to a two-year contract extension this summer, ensuring their captain stays on till the end of the 2024 season. Having played the last two seasons behind closed doors in a bio-bubble in Goa, Chennaiyin’s fans are looking forward to seeing their favorite team back in action at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Jagan defends three-capital formula amid fresh protest by Amaravati farmers

Defending his three capital formula, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday said the government would go ahead with the decentralization of administration.

Virtually ruling out the development of Amaravati as the only state capital, he told the Assembly that building the capital city Amaravati would be like a dream-chasing as this would cost Rs 30 lakh crore and take at least 100 years.

He was replying to a short discussion in the house on Decentralisation-Administrative Reforms.

The discussion assumed significance in view of the second Maha Padyatra launched by farmers and other locals of 29 villages of the Amaravati region demanding implementation of the High Court order for the development of Amaravati.

Jagan Mohan Reddy dismissed the long foot march as a drama and said it was aimed at fomenting regional hatred by provoking people of other regions.

He alleged that those involved in irregularities in land transactions in Amaravati and those who want to protect their lands and other interests were behind the protest for the last 1,000 days.

On the demand for the development of Amaravati as the only capital, he remarked that the state was not restricted to just an 8 square km radius or 50,000-acre land parcel.

Claiming that he is not against this region (south coastal Andhra), Jagan, as the leader is popularly known, said he wants to develop it at par with other regions and this was the reason the government decided to make Amaravati one of the three capitals.

As per the three-capital formula mooted by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, Visakhapatnam in north coastal Andhra will be developed as the administrative capital, Kurnool in Rayalaseema region as judicial capital, and Amaravati in south coastal Andhra as legislative capital.

Jagan stated that Rs 1.05 lakh crore would be required for developing just the basic infrastructure like roads, drains, and power supply in Amaravati. On the other hand, spending just Rs 10,000 crore on Visakhapatnam would be sufficient as basic infrastructure is readily available there, he said.

Explaining why he believes the development of Amaravati is like dream-chasing, the Chief Minister said the state was not even in a position to spend Rs 1,000 crore or Rs 2,000 crore per annum on capital works.

He said at this rate, it will take 100 years to build the capital city and because of inflation, the cost will go up to Rs 20 lakh crore or Rs 30 lakh crore. He remarked that a state, whose 80 percent population is still living on white ration cards, can never mobilize such a huge amount of money.

Hitting out at his predecessor N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan said the previous government could not go beyond graphics.

He said those who cheated people through false hopes in the name of Amaravati development should be booked under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

He also dismissed the argument that Amaravati can be developed as a capital city through a self-financing model and pointed out that only 4,997 acres of land were available for sale.

The Chief Minister recalled that in February 2019, the Chandrababu Naidu government issued an order that 5,020 acres of land be available for commercial monetization. “Now, we have to sell each acre for Rs 20 crore to raise Rs one lakh crore, required only for the creation of basic infrastructure. How could it be a self-financing project when the land did not command such a price,” he asked.

Earlier, the debate saw a heated exchange between members of the ruling YSRCP and opposition TDP.

Pandemonium over certain allegations made by the YSRCP over insider trading in Amaravati lands and the protest by the TDP led to the suspension of the opposition legislators.

Speaker Tammineni Seetharam suspended 16 members of the TDP when they trooped towards his podium demanding an opportunity for party leader P. Keshav to speak.

Earlier, responding to allegations made against him, Keshav threw a challenge that if the ruling party proved them he would resign and give the lands to the ruling party leaders.

India can soon hope to host the Olympics, says badminton coach Gopichand

0

Lauding the Gujarat government for stepping in to host the National Games, India’s badminton coach Pullela Gopichand said that if the state could host such a big event in such a short time it was possible for it to host the Olympics Games too.

“If we can organize an event with 20,000 people so grandly in Gujarat, I am confident that we can host the Olympics too, which assembles only 11,000 people,” said the former All-England champion.

Speaking at Gujarat’s ‘GoForGujarat’ initiative to motivate the state’s athletes to aim for a Top 5 position in the Games, Gopichand praised the planned large-scale organization of the National Games.

“I am so happy that after seven years National Games are taking place in Gujarat and would like to congratulate the Central as well as State government for such a massive scale of organization for the Games,” the Dronacharya awardee reckons.

Speaking in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Gopichand doffed his hat to the state government and said that it was not an easy task to take up the challenge of organizing such a big event. “It is a big challenge and you have not only taken up that challenge but are now organizing it on a grand scale. I would like to congratulate each member of the team for this wonderful event.”

“Some people may ask why such a huge sports event when so many people are poor but I remember the words of honorable Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) when we met in 2014 after the Commonwealth Games. He said that for any race, community or country to come up, pride is very important and each victory of our sports persons anywhere in the world brings pride to the nation and that is very very important,” he revealed.

He said that in the last 8-10 years, through Fit India, Khelo India, and government support, there has been unprecedented development in the field of sports in the country.

Gopichand advised the competing players to focus on diet, fitness, and a positive attitude, urging them to keep moving towards victory even in defeat.

“Especially in the last 3-4 days before the completion, the focus is the key. You must eat well, sleep well and always be positive,” he said.

PM to visit Kuno National Park to witness release of translocated cheetahs from Namibia

0

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on September 17, which is his birthday, where he will release cheetahs translocated from Namibia.

The release of wild cheetahs is part of the Government’s efforts to revitalize and diversify India’s wildlife and its habitat. The cheetah was declared extinct from India in 1952.

The cheetahs have been brought under an MoU signed earlier this year. The introduction of cheetah in India is being done under Project Cheetah, which is the world’s first inter-continental large wild carnivore translocation project.

“This will help in the restoration of open forest and grassland ecosystems in India and also conserve biodiversity and enhance the ecosystem services like water security, carbon sequestration and soil moisture conservation, benefiting the society at large,” an official statement said.

Later, the Prime Minister will participate in Self Help Group Sammelan with women SHG members and community resource persons at Karahal, Sheopur.

Instagram brings its parental supervision tools in India

0

Meta-owned photo and video-sharing platform Instagram on Thursday rolled out its parental supervision tools in India to help parents get more involved in their teen’s experiences on the platform.

The platform is also introducing a Family Center, a new place for parents and guardians to access supervision tools and resources from leading experts.

“The supervision tools and the Family Center will add to our efforts on keeping young people safe. Our intention is to strike the right balance for young people’s desire for some autonomy when using Instagram, but also allows for supervision in a way that supports conversations between parents and young people when it is helpful,” Natasha Jog, Head, Public Policy, Instagram, Facebook India (Meta), said in a statement.

The platform said Meta has been working closely with experts, parents, guardians, and young people from India, to understand the needs of parents and young people. One of the biggest needs continues to be tools and resources to educate parents about digital services.

In this context, Meta launched Parental Supervision Controls and a Family Center in the US in March this year and is now rolling it out to India.

The Supervision Tools on Instagram are now available in India and will allow parents and guardians to manage how much time their young people spend on Instagram.

It will also allow parents to view what accounts their young people follow and the accounts that follow their young people.

GalaxEye, two others ink MoU with US company to make satellites with SAR, optical sensors

0

India’s private satellite startup GalaxEye Space Solutions Pvt Ltd, and the US-based satellite software provider Antaris will build the world’s first satellite with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical sensors, said GalaxEye.

According to GalaxEye, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this purpose has been signed along with two other Indian companies (Ananth Technologies and XDLINX Labs) with Antaris.

The four companies intend to solve a vexing legacy challenge for consumers of remote sensing data.

Typically, satellite constellation operators have deployed specialised satellites to capture specific types of data. Each image or data point is captured at a unique time from a unique location, making it difficult to correlate data from separate satellites.

The new multi-sensor satellite being developed under the MOU will capture for the first time in history both SAR data and optical data from the same satellite — improving the ability to correlate the data and its analytical utility.

The resulting datasets will have tremendous value for environmental, insurance, and defense applications.

The satellite is expected to be launched in Q4 2023.

Under the terms of the agreement, Antaris will provide the software as a service (SaaS) technology platform required to design, simulate, build and manage the earth observation satellite from GalaxEye and its onboard Drishti sensor.

Ananth Technologies will provide AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) services and manufacturing capabilities.

XDLINX Labs will be responsible for the design of the spacecraft bus and supply chain integration services.

“We are very excited to partner with Ananth, Antaris, and XDLINX,” said Suyash Singh, CEO of GalaxEye.

“We strongly believe that our combined expertise will result in a successful mission of GalaxEye’s satellite which will provide superior geospatial imagery to our customers. This is a unique startup collaboration in the space sector in India and will be further strengthened through support from ISRO and IN-SPACe. This MOU will be marked as the first milestone, Singh added.

Minor girl drugged, gang raped in Hyderabad

A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two youths in the old city of Hyderabad.

The accused sexually assaulted the 13-year-old victim for two days in a hotel after kidnapping and drugging her.

The girl was kidnapped by the youth on Tuesday when she had gone out to buy medicines in Chanchalguda. As she did not return home, her mother lodged a complaint with Dabeerpura Police Station the next day.

Police registered a missing case and took up an investigation. The youth, who is said to be known to the girl, took her to a hotel in their car. They then drugged and sexually assaulted her.

The accused had called the victim’s mother on Wednesday to inform her that she was with them. They later dropped her near Chaderghat.

The victim’s mother shared the telephone number with the police. The police subsequently arrested the accused from the Rein Bazar area.

Police said both the accused have been arrested and a case under the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered at Dabeerpura police station.

The victim has been sent to Bharosa Centre. A police officer said after counseling and medical examination, her statement will be recorded.

The incident came less than four months after the gang rape of a minor in upscale Jubilee Hills.

Six accused, five of them minor, had trapped the 17-year-old victim after a daytime party at a bar on May 28. Five of them including a major had sexually assaulted her in a vehicle after promising to drop her home.

Five accused, including the son of a leader of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, were charged with gang rape while the sixth accused, whose father is a MIM legislator, is facing molestation charges.

“Amazon recognizes brands as experts on their products. With this new capability, we have made it easier for brands to connect with customers to help answer common questions and better inform their purchase decisions,” Rajiv Mehta, general manager of Alexa Shopping at Amazon, said in a blog post.

Brands registered with Amazon Brand Registry will see the new Customers ask Alexa feature in Seller Central, where they can easily discover and answer frequently asked customer questions using self-service tools.

All answers go through Alexa’s content moderation and quality checks before Alexa selects the most relevant answer to share with customers.

The feature will be available in Seller Central for a select group of brands beginning October 2022 as an invite-only program and will become available to all eligible brands in the US in 2023.

It will be available to shoppers via the Amazon search bar in late 2022, and via Echo devices in mid-2023.

World record holder Jacob Kiplimo to take part in Delhi Half Marathon 2022

Uganda’s world half marathon record holder Jacob Kiplimo will be the star attraction at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2022, a World Athletics Elite Label Event, to be held on October 16.

The 21-year-old Kiplimo is the reigning world half marathon champion after claiming the World Athletics Half Marathon Championships title in 2020, and last year ran the phenomenal world record time of 57:31 in Lisbon.

The young Ugandan star has already had an outstanding 2022, winning both the RAK Half Marathon in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) in February in a world-leading 57:56 and then the Great North Run half marathon last Sunday, two of the few rivals to the VDHM for the unofficial title of ‘The Best Half Marathon in the World’.

During the summer, Kiplimo focused on the track and won a bronze medal in 10,000m at World Championships in July and a memorable 5000m/10,000m double at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last month.

Ethiopia’s Amdework Walelegn improved the Delhi course record to 58:53 in 2020, but Kiplimo believes he can run the fastest half marathon ever seen on Indian soil during his first visit to the country next month, the organizers informed in a release on Thursday.

“I have been told that the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon course is a quick one and the record suggests that you can run fast times there. It is always dangerous to make predictions about what you are going to do, but what I can say is that with a month to go to the race I am in good shape, and I will focus on preparing specifically for the race over the next few weeks,” Kiplimo was quoted as saying in the release.

“I had a successful track season although I would have liked to have done a little better at the World Championships, I have not raced too much this year, so I am still fresh and I want to show the people of Delhi and India what I am capable of,” he added.

The 17th edition of the Delhi Half Marathon will have a stellar lineup of elite runners.

“On behalf of the Vedanta family, I feel honored to welcome the current world half marathon and world record holder Jacob Kiplimo to the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2022. When Jacob became world champion at such a young age, his story become an inspiration for many. I am sure his participation here will motivate thousands more to take to run for causes that deeply touch us all,” said Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Non-Executive Director, Vedanta Limited.

The race has a prize fund of US$268,000, and the international elite field will have its sights on the first prize of US$27,000 for both men and women.

“We are thrilled to be able to welcome Jacob Kiplimo to India for the very first time and to headline this year’s Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon. It is a reflection of the event’s stature that it annually draws some of the biggest names in distance running,” said Vivek Singh, Joint Managing Director, Procam International.

“As one of the leading half marathons in the world, I’m excited that we are back on the international calendar, bigger and better. It’s our privilege to welcome Vedanta as the title sponsor, as we look to build on our shared objective of strengthening the legacy of this event as a stimulus for empowerment and change,” he added.

NASA to address orbital debris, greatest challenge of our era

The US space agency has announced funding for three studies to understand the growing problem of space junk to analyze the economic, social, and policy issues associated with space sustainability.

Bhavya Lal, the associate administrator for the Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy (OTPS) at NASA, said that orbital debris is one of the great challenges of our era.

“Maintaining our ability to use space is critical to our economy, our national security, and our nation’s science and technology enterprise,” Lal said in a statement.

“These awards will fund research to help us understand the dynamics of the orbital environment and show how we can develop policies to limit debris creation and mitigate the impact of existing debris,” she added.

Orbital debris consists of human-made objects orbiting Earth that no longer serve a purpose, including mission-related and fragmentation debris, nonfunctional spacecraft, and abandoned rocket stages.

NASA takes the threat of orbital debris seriously as these objects can endanger spacecraft, jeopardize access to space, and impede the development of a low-Earth orbit economy, including commercial participation.

These new awards will fund research that supports the agency’s commitment to addressing the problem.

Last month, Digantara, a Bengaluru-based startup, said it is on a mission to compile data on space debris.

The startup is set to send 40 satellites that are going to study data on space junk in low-earth orbit (LEO). The satellites are scheduled to be launched early next year.
