Netflix may soon ask extra money for sharing your account with others

0

Popular video streaming platform Netflix is planning to pause password sharing outside a single household by charging users extra for doing so.

“While these have been hugely popular, they have also created some confusion about when and how Netflix can be shared. As a result, accounts are being shared between households impacting our ability to invest in great new TV and films for our members,” Chengyi Long, Netflix’s director of product innovation, said in a statement.

The main account owner will receive an email with a code, to enable the new sub-accounts. The user must use the code to verify the additional devices are a part of their household.

The firm will launch and test two new features in select markets, where members will have to pay an additional $2 to $3 for sharing their passwords with people outside their homes. Netflix recently bumped up its subscription prices for the UK and Ireland.

The video streaming giant has around 14 million subscribers in the UK and 600,000 in Ireland, according to Ampere Analysis. The most popular package is the standard subscription, which offers streaming in HD quality to up to two devices which used to cost $7.82 but has now gone up to $9.13 in the UK.

This change applies to new subscribers, while current subscribers will be notified 30 days before the new prices affect their account. In January, Netflix also increased the price of its monthly subscription plans in the US and Canada.

In the US, subscribers to Netflix’s basic plan, which allows for one stream on one screen at a time and does not have HD streaming, is now $9.99 a month, up from $8.99, after the price hike in January.

Chat with up to 150 friends in closed Twitter Circle soon

0

Twitter is testing a new feature that will allow the users to choose up to 150 closest friends and set up a ‘Twitter Circle’ like a college or a school reunion group.

App developer Nima Owji first tweeted about this upcoming feature

“Twitter is working on the aTwitter Circle’ intro page for the web app,” he posted.

You can choose up to 150 people to include in your Twitter Circle. Only your circle of friends will be able to see and reply to shared tweets.

You can edit your Twitter Circle and people will not be notified if you remove them, according to the new feature.

According to reports, Twitter has been teasing a feature since last year that would allow users to customize the audience to their tweets, letting them post to only a small subset of their followers.

Similar to an Instagram close friends story or Google Plus Circles (RIP), Twitter is also calling this product Circle, reports TechCrunch.

The micro-blogging platform said it is always working on new ways to help people engage in healthy conversations, and is “currently exploring ways to let people Tweet to smaller groups”.

Twitter is also giving users more control over who sees their tweets and who can engage with their tweets.

Google I/O 2022 date set for May 11 with limited in-person attendance

0

Google has announced that its big annual developer conference ‘Google I/O’ will take place on May 11 and 12.

The event will be online and some of the conferences will be streamed live from the Shoreline Amphitheatre, a frequent Google I/O venue.

“We will be back live from Shoreline Amphitheatre for this year’s GoogleIO! Join us online May 11-12,” Sundar Pichai, Alphabet, and Google CEO said in a tweet.

In a statement given to The Verge later, Google spokesperson Alex Garcia-Kummert said: “This year’s event will be broadcast in front of a limited live audience, and is completely free and open to everyone virtually.”

The company hasn’t hinted about the products it may announce this year.

Google has already released the first Android 13 Developer Preview, so one can expect I/O to focus mostly on Android 13. Google also tends to announce new additions to Google products like Assistant, Search, and Maps at Google I/O.

Google I/O was canceled entirely in 2020 in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2021 event took place virtually.

During Google I/O last year, Google made announcements across Android 12 and Wear OS, as well as Google Maps, Photos, Chrome, AR, Android TV, quantum computing, AI, and an improved camera system.

Champions League: ‘Lucky’ Villarreal stun Juventus to reach quarters

0

Spanish club Villarreal rode on some help from the woodwork and a brilliant performance by their goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to stun former winner Juventus 3-0 and march into the Champions League quarter-finals for only the third time ever.

In a match played on Wednesday night, Villarreal was forced to sit deep for extended periods before unleashing a stunning three-goal counter-punch in the closing 12 minutes at the Juventus Stadium here.

The match ended up looking like the perfect European away performance from Unai Emery’s men, but they needed Rulli to lay the foundation in the first half. The visiting goalkeeper denied Álvaro Morata and Dušan Vlahovic with fine saves inside the opening 20 minutes and was then grateful to see the latter’s cute shot come off the crossbar.

Rulli and Vlahovic were at it again before the interval, a point-blank stop on this occasion keeping the scores level, according to a report on UEFA’s official website.

The tide turned in the blink of an eye, Gerard Moreno setting Villarreal on their way when he converted a nervy penalty. Pau Torres then turned in from a corner to put Villarreal’s progress beyond doubt, leaving Arnaut Danjuma to add gloss with a spot-kick of his own in added time.

Both teams could be forgiven for wondering just how it all came to pass as the script was not supposed to turn this way. Juventus dominated possession and had several good chances but in the end, they were denied a chance to progress to the last-eight stage.

To many experts, the 3-0 defeat would look a bit harsh on Juventus, especially considering the Bianconeri were arguably the better team for more than 75 minutes and had plenty of chances to take the lead. Villarreal, however, was rewarded for a rock-solid defense that stood firm even when forced deep for extended periods.

All England Badminton: China’s world champions Chen/Jia suffer first-round loss

0

China’s world champions Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan were ousted from the first round of the women’s doubles event at the All England Badminton Open on Wednesday.

Chen and Jia had played a marathon final just three days ago as they clinched the title at the German Open by edging Bulgarian sisters Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva after more than 100 minutes of play.

The Chinese top seeds were obviously not in form physically and they were beaten by world No. 64 pairing of Jeong Naeun and Kim Hyejeong of South Korea in 21-15, 21-16.

The men’s singles top seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark only struggled for a moment in the first game as he lost a four-point advantage to fall behind India’s B. Sai Praneeth 19-18 in the match played on Wednesday night. But the Olympic champion pulled himself together soon to win the opening game 22-20 before nailing the second 21-11, reports Xinhua.

“It feels great to be back and to see all the fans back in the stands,” Axelsen was quoted as saying by the tournament’s official website. “I have great memories from here now, it’s one of the biggest tournaments of the year and one of my biggest dreams coming true to win it. Hopefully, I can try to do that one more time.”

Axelsen won the All England title in 2020 and reached the final last year. He will face Mark Caljouw of the Netherlands in the second round.

In the women’s singles, top seed Tai Tzu-Ying from Chinese Taipei saw off Belgium’s Lianne Tan 21-12, 21-14.

India’s two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and 2012 London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal too advanced to the second round.

Teaser of Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer ‘Mohandas’ released

Director Lokesh Kanakaraj and actor Karthi on Wednesday released a brilliant teaser of director Murali Karthick’s intense action-thriller ‘Mohandas’, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead.

The hard-hitting teaser, which looks interesting and promises an exciting action thriller, begins with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, “The future depends on what you do today.”

It then has Vishnu Vishal narrating a very interesting story. He begins by saying, “Once upon a time there was a forest.” He corrects himself instantly and says, ” A forest used to exist in the place that this city now exists,” and then goes on to list the wild animals in the forest, all the while wondering what animal he should pick to best describe his character.

The indecision ends after a while and he settles for the lion.

He then goes on to say that this lion (referring to himself) is hungry and is about to hunt a deer (referring to Aishwarya Rajesh). “If you, at this point, think that the deer should escape even if it means the death of the lion due to hunger, then, to you, I am a villain. If you, on the other hand, think that the lion should kill the deer and live, then to you, I am a hero. My name is Mohandas.”

Produced by Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh, and Vishnu Vishal, the film will also feature Indrajith Sukumaran, Karunakaran, Lallu, Prakash Raghavan, and Shariq Hassan among others.

The film has music by Sundaramurthy KS and cinematography by Vignesh Rajagopalan.

Azad, Sonia to meet for sorting out issues, Rahul, Priyanka may also join in

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is leading the ‘G-23’ group demanding sweeping organizational changes in the party, is likely to meet party interim chief Sonia Gandhi on Thursday to address the grievances of the group sources said.

It is likely that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will also be present at this meeting.

On Wednesday, ‘G-23’ leaders met at Azad’s residence to chalk out their strategy ahead of the meeting.

Apart from the initial members, some more leaders including Mani Shankar Aiyar, Patiala MP and former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh’s wife Preneet Kaur, senior leader P.J. Kurien, former Punjab Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Raj Babbar, Kuldeep Sharma were also seen arriving at Azad’s residence for the meeting.

Shankarsinh Vaghela and Sandeep Dikshit were also taking part.

Vaghela has been in Congress in the past but his present status is not clear.

The meeting is being held to devise a further strategy after the CWC endorsed Sonia Gandhi’s leadership. The group has already reached out to like-minded leaders within the Congress.

The Congress President on Tuesday removed state chiefs of five states and after which loyalists started targeting the dissenters.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot hit out at Kapil Sibal that he does not know the “ABCD of Congress”, and is an outsider who was given everything from the party.

However, talking to in an interview, Dikshit said: “The Congress President should have accessibility, acceptability, and accountability.”

Encouraged by US, Ukraine purposefully prepared for military scenario: Putin

0

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that the West is pushing Kiev to bloodshed.

“It is also clear to us that Western patrons are simply pushing the Kiev authorities to continue the bloodshed,” Putin said, RT reported.

He noted that the supply of weapons and the dispatch of mercenaries continued.

“Ukraine, encouraged by the United States and a number of Western countries, purposefully prepared for a military scenario. To the bloody massacre and ethnic cleansing in the Donbass. A massive attack on the Donbass and then on the Crimea was only a matter of time,” Putin said.

The Russian armed forces thwarted these plans, he claimed.

“In Kiev, they were not only preparing for war, for aggression against Russia, against the Donbas, but they were also waging it. Attempts to organize sabotage and terrorist underground did not stop. In recent years, hostilities have continued in the Donbass, with the shelling of peaceful settlements. During this time, almost 14,000 civilians died, including children,” Vladimir Putin said.

The economic difficulties of the population of Western countries are not caused by the actions of Russia, but were the result of myopic mistakes and ambitions of the ruling elites of their states, who are obsessed with superprofits, Putin said.

“Evidence of this is the data of international organizations, which say that social problems even in the leading Western countries have only worsened in recent years: Inequality is growing, the gap between the poor and the rich, racial and national conflicts are making themselves felt. The myth of the Western welfare society, the so-called golden billion, is collapsing,” the Russian head of state said at a meeting on economic issues.

Director Rathnakumar’s film with Santhanam titled ‘Gulu Gulu’

Director Rathna Kumar’s much-awaited next film, featuring actors Santhanam and Athulya Chandra in the lead, has been titled ‘Gulu Gulu’.

On Wednesday, five popular Tamil film directors — Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nelson Dilipkumar, Lokesh Kanakaraj, Venkat Prabhu, and Karthik Subbaraj– released the title motion poster of the film.

The motion poster goes on to disclose that Santhanam’s character’s name is actually ‘Google’ but he hears his name as ‘Gulu Gulu’.

The title motion poster also gives out a bit of the character’s background.

“Nobody knows him or where he’s from. He has traveled across countries and knows 13 languages. Yet he will never forget the broken English his mom taught him.

“He would get bashed up in the name of doing social service but ask him about anything and he’ll give you a clear-cut explanation. This is why people lovingly call him ‘Google’. But every time they call him that, all he will be able to hear is ‘Gulu Gulu’,” the title motion poster explains.

The film, which has music by Santhosh Narayanan, will also feature Namitha Krishnamurthy, Pradeep Rawat, Mariyam George, Sai Dheena, ‘Lollu Sabha’ Maaran, and ‘Lollu Sabha’ Seshu among others.

Produced by Raj Narayanan, the film will have cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Philomin Raj.

Air fares to go sky-high as jet fuel prices surge

0

Exorbitant jet fuel prices on the back of high crude oil costs are expected to drive up domestic airfares from their current levels.

In recent days, fares have risen by around 20-25 percent on most domestic routes on a month-on-month basis. With ATF prices being hiked to over Rs 1 lakh per kilolitre, fares are expected to rise further.

“This time the industry had already braced for an ATF price hike, with most of the airlines hiking fares on certain legs by about 20-25 percent in the past couple of days,” said Aloke Bajpai, Co-founder and Group CEO, ixigo.

“However, despite rising airfares, demand for travel for the upcoming summer season is still going strong. We have seen an average MoM increase of 35-40 percent in travel search queries in March for popular leisure destinations like Goa, Port Blair, Amritsar, Varanasi, Srinagar & Andaman & Nicobar,” Bajpai added.

Presently, fuel-based expenses account for around 40 percent of the overall operating cost of an airline.

Significantly, the trend will hamper air passenger growth for the industry.

Besides, the rise in ATF prices might derail the economic recovery of India’s aviation sector, which has been heavily battered by Covid restrictions.

“ATF constitutes about 40 percent of the operating cost of an airline, and the recent hike of 18 per cent in ATF will put significant margin pressure on the airlines. The impact of this will be seen in an increase in ticket prices, and we should see an upward revision of 5-8 percent in airfares,” said Jagannarayan Padmanabhan, Director and Practice Leader, Transport and Logistics, CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory.

“This has come at a time when the industry was coming back to normalcy and the increased fare could prove to be a dampener for leisure travelers,” Padmanabhan added.

According to Superior Banerjee, Vice President and Sector Head, ICRA: “ATF represents the single-largest cost element for airlines, accounting for 30-40 percent of their total operating expenses. As such, the profitability of the airlines is significantly linked with ATF prices, which have witnessed a consistent rise and have risen 57.2 per cent in March 2022 on a YoY basis.

“With limited pricing power of the airlines, and given the stiff competition with passenger traffic still in recovery mode, the rise in ATF prices is certainly going to impact the earnings profile adversely in the near term.”

In India, the domestic ATF prices are derived from international fuel prices, denominated in the US dollar, thereby rendering the ATF prices susceptible to exchange rate movements.

Notably, the rupee has also seen depreciation against the US dollar lately, which has been reflected in the prices.

The ATF prices are much more expensive than international benchmarks due to high levels of taxation.

The industry has been demanding that the fuel type be brought under the ambit of GST, similar to the status given to ‘Bunker Diesel’ which is used in the shipping sector.

On Wednesday, high crude oil prices led OMCs to hike ATF prices to more than Rs 1 lakh per kilolitre. In the national capital, the price of jet fuel was raised by 18.32 percent to Rs 1,10,666.29 per kilolitre (kl) from Rs 93,530.66 per kl.

In the other metro cities of Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, the price was increased to Rs 1,14,979.70, Rs 1,09,119.83, and Rs 1,14,133.73 per kg, respectively.

The rise came as the crude oil prices have remained on elevated levels due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis. Fuel retailers revise jet fuel prices on a fortnightly basis.

“Aviation fuel prices increased by 18 percent, accounting for over 40 percent of a plane’s operating cost,” said Kshitij Purohit, Lead of Commodities and Currencies at CapitalVia Global Research.

“It has climbed six times since 2022, reaching Rs 1,10,666 per kg. The increase in the price of ATF may result in an increase in the price of airline tickets; however, during the festive season, people are more likely to travel in India, thus companies may raise prices moderately to avoid losing volume.”

Bhanu Patni, the Senior Analyst at India Ratings and Research, said: “The current hike in ATF prices is due to high crude oil cost which has been rising due to geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine. We have seen ATF prices rise by over 40 percent since the start of 2022.”

China tests rocket engine for upcoming space lab launches

0

A Chinese high-thrust oxyhydrogen rocket engine has completed a 520-second test in preparation for the upcoming launches of space station lab modules, its maker said on Wednesday.

Developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the engine is designed for the core stage of the Long March-5 carrier rocket series, which will be used to launch two lab modules of China’s orbiting Tiangong space station this year, Xinhua news agency reported.

The long-range test, lasting 520 seconds, has verified the reliability of the engine, and there will be more than 20 experimental tasks that the rocket engine will undergo to further test its performance, the company disclosed.

China plans to have six more missions, including the launch of the Wentian and Mengtian lab modules, two cargo spacecraft, and two crewed spaceships, in 2022 to complete the construction of the space station.

Regulate govt employees’ cell phone usage in office, Madras HC to TN

0

The Madras High Court’s Madurai Bench has directed the Tamil Nadu government to regulate the use of mobile phones of government employees during office.

It asked the government to frame rules and regulations for the use of mobile phones and cameras inside office premises during office hours.

A bench of Justice S.M. Subramaniam said that usage of mobile phones during office hours was gross misconduct and employees must not be allowed to use these during office hours for personal reasons.

He said that if there was an emergency permission must be taken from the higher officials before the phone is used.

The court directed that in all circumstances, the mobile phones should be either switched off or in silent mode to prevent any discomfort to people who are approaching the government offices as well as other staff in the office while they were engaged in office work.

Justice Subramaniam also said that using mobile cameras during office hours was causing discomfort and would disrupt the functioning of offices.

He directed the state government to take serious note of the subject and to issue a circular or note to the employees to store all mobile phones in a cloakroom during office hours in switched off or silent mode.

The court was hearing a petition filed by D.S. Radhika, a government employee from Tiruchi, challenged the suspension order issued against her for frequently using mobile phones during office hours and shooting videos of coworkers.

The court disposed of the petition and directed the officials to conduct an inquiry and conclude the same with immediate effect.

Decks cleared for Sawant’s appointment as Goa CM?

0

Decks appear to have been cleared for Goa’s caretaker Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to continue as the Chief Minister of the state, with a senior state BJP leader stating that Sawant’s name has been cleared after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

Sawant, who appeared to have been facing competition from Vishwajit Rane, the Health Minister in Sawant’s previous stint as CM from 2019-22, met Prime Minister Modi in the national capital on Wednesday, along with state BJP chief Sadanand Shet Tanavade and the party’s national General Secretary in-charge of Goa, C.T. Ravi.

While BJP officials in Goa were unwilling to come on record, a senior party leader said that Sawant’s name would be officially announced by the party’s central leadership soon.

Some members of the new cabinet are also expected to be sworn in after the Holi festivities, the BJP leader said.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting with the Prime Minister and BJP’s national President J.P. Nadda, Sawant said: “I met the PM and the national President. I came to meet them after the election results. The decision will be announced after Holi.”

He, however, refused to answer questions as to whether his credentials for the CM’s post were endorsed by the Prime Minister.

BJP central leader and Union Minister for Agriculture, Narendra Singh Tomar, is also expected to arrive in Goa over the next few days to convene a meeting of the BJP’s newly-elected MLAs in order to chaperone the nomination of the party’s leader of the House.

BJP emerged as the single largest party with 20 seats, just one short of a majority mark. The party has received letters of unconditional support from three Independent MLAs and two members of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP).

Bharat Biotech partners with Biofabri to develop TB vaccine

0

Vaccine maker Bharat Biotech on Wednesday announced a partnership with Spanish biopharmaceutical company Biofabri to develop, manufacture and market a new tuberculosis vaccine in more than 70 countries in Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Biofabri is a biopharmaceutical company of Zenda group based in Spain’s Porrino with the aim of researching, developing, and manufacturing vaccines for humans.

The vaccine is being manufactured and developed by Biofabri, in close collaboration with the University of Zaragoza, IAVI, and the Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative (TBVI). MTBVAC has been designed and discovered by the Carlos Martin team of the University of Zaragoza.

This agreement between Bharat Biotech and Biofabri would guarantee the worldwide production and the supply of the future vaccine in more than 70 countries with a high TB incidence, such as India which has the highest TB burden in the world, with 25 percent of all cases, Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech said.

MTBVAC is one of the most promising vaccine candidates in the current global TB vaccine pipeline. The only currently available TB vaccine, the Bacillus Calmette-Guerin vaccine (BCG), was developed 100 years ago and has limited efficacy in preventing pulmonary TB in adults, who, along with adolescents, are the biggest spreaders of the disease.

“TB infects more than 20 percent of the global population and is the second leading cause of deaths from infectious disease after Covid-19. TB is a highly contagious disease where vaccines are the best solution to prevent disease, reduce transmission, and combat multi-drug-resistant strains. We are proud to announce this partnership with BioFabri, where MTBVAC can become a global TB vaccine. Bharat Biotech has opted for this vaccine candidate owing to its advanced stage of clinical development as well as the extremely promising results from Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials,” said Dr. Krishna Ella, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Biotech.

“For us, this agreement is a milestone in the MTBVAC project. From day one, our goal has been to make a vaccine accessible to everyone at affordable prices in middle- and low-income countries where the incidence of tuberculosis is high. The contract signed with Bharat Biotech ensures that our vaccine reaches countries such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, and South Africa, among others, where tuberculosis is a public health problem due to its high incidence,” said Esteban Rodriguez, Biofabri CEO.

“We have a good hope that a new vaccine TB vaccine is on the horizon. At the University of Zaragoza, we have been working in the search for a new TB vaccine since 1998 and since 2008 in close partnership with Biofabri. Accelerating efficacy studies for TB vaccines that have shown better protection than BCG in different preclinical models and to be immunogenic and safe in humans, as is the case of MTBVAC, is possible as it has been done for Covid vaccines.

“The experience of Bharat will be a great help reinforcing collaboration with TBVI and IAVI. We are ready, as soon as we can demonstrate that MTBVAC protects against pulmonary forms of TB, the sooner we can begin to save lives and to have a huge impact in TB pandemic, including multidrug resist forms of TB,” said Professor Martin, the principal investigator of TB Vaccine project of the University of Zaragoza.

Chunky Panday embodies evil in poster of ‘Nayika Devi: The Warrior Queen’

The film will mark the actor’s foray into Gujarati films and by the looks of it, he looks extremely convincing in his evil avatar.

In the poster, Chunky Pandey looks merciless and wily. Between everything menacing, belligerent, and surrounded by arrows, Chunky’s character of Muhammad Ghori stands with a sword in his hand and rage on his face. The actor seeped into the skin of the character with his kohled eyes, long grey hair, and dark-patterned authentic ensembles.

It will be a big achievement for me to interact with him.”

The left-arm spinner Vicky Ostwal expressed about his first practice session with the Delhi Capitals, “From watching the IPL on TV to getting into a franchise is a big journey for me. It will sink in slowly. It’s been great to meet all the players and the members of the coaching staff.”

Delhi Capitals will take on Mumbai Indians in their first match of the season on March 27.

Women’s World Cup: It’s really nice to get the win on the board, says Anya Shrubsole

0

England pacer Anya Shrubsole on Wednesday felt that getting a four-wicket win against India in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup has been ‘really nice’.

At Bay Oval, England ticked every box in terms of batting, bowling, and most importantly, fielding, to end their winless run in the tournament and get their first win in the World Cup.

The win was set up by off-spinner Charlie Dean’s career-best figures of four for 23 while Shrubsole did the early damage with two for 20 as India were bowled out for 134. Skipper Heather Knight led the chase of 135 with an unbeaten 53 while her deputy Nat Sciver made a quick 45.

“It’s been a while since we’ve won and I think we can’t make any secrets about that. It’s been obviously a tricky tour, but we came into this game basically knowing that we needed to win our next four games to give us a chance,” said Shrubsole in the post-match virtual press conference.

“So it’s really nice to get the win on the board to play well. But this is kind of one of four really that we need to win and we’ve managed to do it today and we’ll celebrate the win and then it’s about getting to Auckland and turning our focus to the New Zealand game,” added Shrubsole, who reached the milestone of 100 ODI wickets with the scalp of opener Yastika Bhatia.

Shrubsole, who was player of the match in the 2017 World Cup final when facing India at Lord’s, was extremely happy overreaching a century mark of 100 ODI scalps. “I’m really pleased. I think if kind of never really would have dreamed of hitting that when I made my debut. So, I’m pleased about that. But I’m most pleased about I guess being able to contribute to the team and I thought as a group we bowled really well.”

Shrubsole showered praise on Dean, playing just her second World Cup match and becoming one of the main architects of England’s win over India. Dean flipped the match in England’s favor when she dismissed Harmanpreet Kaur and Sneh Rana in a double-wicket maiden 17th over. She then trapped Pooja Vastrakar lbw and ended India’s misery by clean bowling Meghna Singh.

“I’m absolutely buzzing for Charlie. This is obviously the first World Cup. I think she is 20 or 21; to come and to bowl as well as she did in what was a really high-pressure game – two wickets in her first over and just really I guess backed up the early wickets that we’ve taken.”

“So much like I’m over the moon for Deano – she’s someone who’s really popular amongst this group – a seriously talented cricketer and hopefully is going to be taken wickets in World Cup for England over the years to come.”

According to GizmoChina, it is being speculated that the phones could launch sometime in September, a bit earlier than its usual launch in October.

The Pixel 7 will be equipped with a 6.3-inch display, which means it will be slightly smaller than the 6.4-inch screen available on the Pixel 6.

The upcoming series is reported to be powered by a new Tensor processor and have up to 512GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the Google Pixel 7 is rumored to be significantly smaller than the Pixel 6, measuring 155.6 x 73.1 x 8.7 mm vs 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm for the Pixel 6.

Pixel 7 Pro’s rear design will not be too different from its predecessor. It will continue to sport a dual-tone design with a horizontal camera module housing a triple camera unit, a microphone, and an LED flash.

Google is expected to release the Pixel 6a, the successor to the Pixel 5a, ahead of the Pixel 7 series debut. Pixel 6a is one of the most eagerly-awaited smartphones in 2022. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Google Pixel 6A is rumored to pack a dual rear camera setup featuring a 12.2MP primary camera, and a 12MP camera.

The smartphone may come with a single front camera setup for selfies, an 8MP primary camera.

It is said to feature a mid-range Tensor processor, probably a Tensor Lite SoC or Snapdragon 778G. Pixel 6a may have 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage running on Android 12 out of the box, with guaranteed up to three years of version upgrades and security updates up to five years.
