BRS Working President KT Rama Rao accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of plotting to join the BJP post Lok Sabha elections, citing Reddy’s admiration for PM Narendra Modi and the ‘Gujarat’ model. Speaking at a gathering of BRS members, Rao challenged Reddy’s silence on defection allegations and criticized his failure to pledge loyalty to Congress.
Rao alleged that Reddy was using false accusations to divert attention from scandals like sand mining scams and bribery. He criticized Reddy for neglecting issues like power supply and farmer support, opting instead for propaganda tactics like phone tapping. Rao also questioned Congress’ ability to challenge BJP nationally.
He criticized BJP State President G Kishan Reddy for lack of progress in the parliamentary constituency and accused BJP of stoking communal politics. Rao highlighted the upcoming election in Secunderabad, portraying it as a contest between Kishan Reddy, opportunistic MLA Danam Nagender, and BRS loyalist T Padma Rao, emphasizing Rao’s long-standing commitment to the people.
Participants in the meeting included Secunderabad candidate T Padma Rao, former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLAs, MLCs, and other senior BRS leaders.
