Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi Still Awaits Clarity on CBFC Screening

Date:

The uncertainty surrounding Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace continues, despite recent social media reports suggesting that the long-delayed film could finally move ahead. Several posts claimed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) would screen the movie next week.

However, a report by Bollywood Hungama has stated that there is currently no confirmation regarding a CBFC screening. According to the report, the film remains held up over issues reportedly connected to its China-related elements, with no definite timeline available for its certification.

The makers are said to be making efforts to resolve the matter, but there is still no clarity on when the film will receive CBFC clearance or proceed towards release. For now, the claims circulating on social media about an imminent screening remain unverified.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film features Salman Khan in the lead, with Chitrangada Singh playing the female lead. The project was originally announced under the title The Battle of Galwan. Following government intervention, the title was changed and certain key portions of the film were reportedly modified.

Further updates on the film’s certification and release plans are awaited.
