Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of South India’s most beloved actresses, has officially broken her silence regarding her involvement in the promotional activities for the upcoming re-release of her debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave. The film, which was a turning point in her career and introduced her to Telugu cinema, is set for a grand re-release on July 18.
In recent weeks, several media outlets speculated that Samantha would participate in the promotional events for the film. However, the actress has now responded firmly, stating that she will not be attending any promotional activities for Ye Maaya Chesave.
“I don’t know where these rumors are coming from,” Samantha clarified. “To be honest, I’m staying away from the promotions.”
This statement from Samantha has drawn attention, especially given the film’s emotional significance. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ye Maaya Chesave is remembered as a classic romantic drama that also marked the beginning of Samantha’s real-life relationship with actor Naga Chaitanya, who played the male lead.
Samantha had taken a year-long break from films to focus on her health and personal life. Now, she is preparing to bounce back with multiple projects across Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, and has already made a mark in the OTT space with series like Family Man 2 and Citadel. In addition to acting, Samantha has also turned producer, with her debut production Shubham, a horror-comedy, receiving a positive response.
Despite her busy schedule and return to the spotlight, Samantha is choosing to distance herself from any promotional events tied to her past relationships or projects with emotional baggage, maintaining her privacy while staying focused on her upcoming work.
