It is known news that Gunaa TeamWorks have announced a movie Shaakuntalam which will be directed by Rudhramadevi fame Gunasekhar and he wants a star heroine for the film. Earlier there was a strong buzz in the film industry that Pooja Hegde would play the titular role in this film but Neelima Guna denied the reports about Pooja Hegde coming aboard for the movie.
Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Akkineni Bahu Samantha might be interested in doing the role of Shaakuntala with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan as Kanva Maharshi whereas a Tamil star in the role of Vishwamithra. Urvashi’ role will be essayed by a top actress. Though this news reading Samantha Akkineni is yet to be confirmed, it has caught on all over.
The sources say that the big announcement about Shaakuntalam will be made in the first week of January month. The upcoming film will go on the floor next year and will hit the theaters during the end of 2021. Currently Gunasekhar is busy in the pre production work of Shaakunthalam.
On the work front Samantha is currently hosting the popular talk show Sam Jam. She has also collaborated with a lady directior Nandini Reddy for a film again.
