Samsung watches boast of an attractive design and worthwhile new features for the price. They are good data-rich exercise tracking gadgets and look petite as well as expensive. Smart-watches have good features and have a bright screen. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active review conveys it all.

What more is there to know about Samsung Galaxy Watch Active?

Samsung has indeed come up with Galaxy Watch Active. It has rather exercise tracking features such as GPS and a heart rate sensor but is also much smaller and slicker than the standard Galaxy Watch.

The look is indeed better. Despite certain drawbacks, there are certain big losses, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is still a successful, likable wearable.  This is highlighted in Samsung Galaxy Watch Active review. ..

Most Samsung watch-like wearables are rather quite masculine. They have no doubt large faces, chunky bezels, and they do appear like traditional watches.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is indeed different. Its design is inspired by the Apple Watch, not by the old Omega.

There are no numbers around its sides, just a roughly 7mm border beyond the display and then a sliver of metal. Most non-Apple makers tend to favor steel when making the shell of a smart-watch like this, but the Galaxy Watch Active is aluminum.

Steel is indeed harder, and less likely to scratch, but aluminum is also lighter. Samsung uses aluminum to lower cost rather than weight.

The strap is more mixed. One can easily remove the Watch Active’s strap, as it consists of 20mm standard bar fixtures, and the default strap is made of soft-touch silicone.

There are differences between the Active and standard Samsung Galaxy Watch. The “original” has a clicky rotating bezel that is used to navigate through the interface. The Active does not make use of a touchscreen and a couple of buttons.

Here’s the problem; the software still looks like it has been made with the bezel control in mind. App icons form a ring around the edge of the screen, and animations still turn clockwise or counterclockwise, even though you now swipe left or right rather than around.
Brightness is brilliant too and one set the brightness manually.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active — Fitness tracking

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active consists of great fitness tracking hardware. There happens to be a built-in full GPS and also one does not lose out on any data, and a heart rate sensor on the back of the watch. It even has a barometric altimeter, which does work out how many flights of stairs one can walk up each day when passively tracking.
The watch also automatically pauses in case one wants to stop for a rest too.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is also water-resistant.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active — Apps and features

It is possible to store music on the watch itself and connect directly to a pair of Bluetooth headphones to play it.

There are controller apps for Philips Hue lights, for the Nest thermostat and a few map apps.
