The film is set to face a competitive box-office window, as major Hollywood releases such as Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three are also expected around the same period. It remains to be seen how Shah Rukh Khan’s action entertainer performs amid the competition and whether it can attract audiences across markets.
Although the makers have kept most details about the film under wraps, reports suggest that a new glimpse could be unveiled on November 2, 2026, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday. However, an official confirmation regarding the promotional update is still awaited.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on Pathaan, King is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, and Arshad Warsi in key roles.
