Sujana Chowdary Says Central Betrayed Us Government

Speaking at the ‘Dharma Deeksha’ protest, organized in Tirupathi, the TDP leaders have hurled allegations at the BJP and the Centre. Joining this row is TDP MP and former Cabinet Minister Sujana Chowdary. Speaking at the occasion, ‘all that we are asking the Centre is to implement what is stated in the AP Reorganizations Act 2014 (aka the Bifurcation Bill). We are not even asking a single penny more than what we actually were promised.
Few BJP leaders are claiming that the Centre has already given the state a lot. Isn’t it the BJP which promised Special Category Status, and then came up with Special Package? We agreed to the Special Package that day because we felt that it would do some good to the state.
But it did not turn that way. While we trusted the Central government, the Centre has betrayed us. If we would have started our fight against the NDA government, the state would have suffered more. Despite making the promises in the presence of Lord Venkateswara Swamy herein Tirupathi, PM Modi has failed miserably to fulfill the promises. Even during my stint as the Central Cabinet Minister, I confronted the Centre many times keeping the interests of the state in mind’.
