Writer turned director Vakkantham Vamsi made his directorial debut with the movie ‘Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India’, starring Allu Arjun and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles. Speaking in this context, the movie’s director Vakkantham Vamsi said that the movie is receiving tremendous response from all regions.
‘After watching the film in the US, director Sukumar immediately called me up and appreciated. He said that, while he was watching few scenes he became emotional, and he even cried at times. You all know what kind of a director Sukumar is. What else can I expect that knowing that a director like him is involved in the film’s script?
He stood as a support to a director and writer in me. The director in me received appreciation from another director. I am very happy for this. At the same time, filmmaking is more a business. That’s the reason, thinking from a commercial viewpoint, I had to put in the songs. People should understand that,’ said Vakkantham Vamsi.
