Tamil star Suriya tested positive for the coronavirus. This news is confirmed by Suriya himself as he took to his Twitter to share a post and informed everyone that he had tested positive for Coronavirus. Singam star revealed that he was undergoing treatment and that he was feeling much better.
Though Suriya tweeted in Tamil language but it translates to – “I have been tested positive for Coronavirus and I am currently recovering from it. I am undergoing treatment for Covid-19 and I thank the doctors for their support. We should all realize life has not returned to normal.”
Suriya was last seen in the movie Soorarai Pottru/Aakasam Nee Haddura in Telugu, which was directed by lady director Sudha Kongara. The movie skipped theatrical release and premiered on Amazon Prime directly. Soorarai Pottru was based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath of Air Deccan.
On the otherside, recently Suriya completed shooting for upcoming Netflix film Navarasa. This project marks Suriya’s reunion with director Gautham Menon after a long gap. They had previously collaborated for Tamil films Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram. The project Navarasa marks the digital debut of actors Suriya and Vijay Sethupathi. Currently Suriya is busy with Vetri Maaran’s Vaadi Vaasal.
