Teammates are scared of Virat Kohli

Former West Indian pacer, Michael Holding made stark comments on Indian captain Virat Kohli. Speaking at a press meet, Holding went on to say, Kohli is unlike Sachin. During Sachin’s time, there were other players like Dravid and Laxman, who had the same calibre like Sachin. That is not the case in the current Indian team. There is a wide Virat Kohli gap between Kohli and others.
Moreover, given his aggression on the field, even his teammates are scared of Virat Kohli at times. In one way, his aggression might bring best out of him. But at the same time, his teammates are scared of Virat Kohli itself. He is still in a learning mode, and it will take some time for him to come to terms. Just like Vivian Richards, Kohli too will calm down with time.
Speaking about the team selection, Michael Holding expressed that, Rahane should be in the playing XI irrespective of his form. Besides Rahane’s inclusion, Holding said Bumrah will never make into his team. ‘Bumrah’s performance in South Africa is good. That will not be the case in England,’ said Michael Holding.
India will play 6-Matches ODI series and 3-Matches T20 series with South Africa, before leaving to England.
