Telugu NRI dies in a Train Accident in the US

A Telangana NRI died in a train accident in San Jose, California on Thursday. He hails from Karimnagar and presently living in Albany in Ohio. Krishna Erravelli a 44-year-old man came to San Jose on an official work. As he was crossing the road intersection near North First Street, he was moved down by a light train.

Though he was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital upon the information given by the local residents, the doctors could not save his life. The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority Spokesperson Linh Hoang said that Krishna was the second man to be killed in such a manner in the recent times. Krishna was survived by his wife and two daughters.

Several passengers on the train complained minor injuries as the speeding train stopped abruptly. Buses were asked to move passengers between stations and otherwise, regular service resumed within 45 minutes of the incident.

While his grieving parents from Karimnagar are making every possible effort to bring back their son’s body to the native place to perform last rites.
