Pawan Kalyan’s much-hyped period action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit, opened to record collections on its release day, setting a new benchmark in the actor’s career. The early momentum and fan frenzy helped the film sail through its first weekend with satisfactory overall numbers.
However, as the weekend wraps up, troubling signs have begun to emerge. In several key regions, occupancy has dropped sharply—by over 50%, raising concerns about the film’s staying power. With weekday footfalls expected to decline further, industry insiders believe that the film needs to maximize its earnings in the next few days before competition intensifies.
The real challenge begins once Vijay Deverakonda’s spy thriller, Kingdom, hits screens on July 31, 2025. If Kingdom garners strong word-of-mouth, HHVM’s chances of a sustained run will diminish significantly.
In the meantime, lead actress Nidhhi Agerwal is doing her best to keep the film afloat by actively promoting it solo, even as other cast members have taken a backseat.
Directed by Jyothi Krishna, with original direction by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film features a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Nassar, Sunil, Dalip Tahil, and Sachin Khedekar. Music is composed by MM Keeravaani, and the film is produced by A. Dayakar Rao under the presentation of AM Rathnam.
All eyes are now on whether Hari Hara Veera Mallu can sustain its run before new releases take over the box office.
