The next era of multitasking is unveiled by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

Samsung, a pioneer in foldable technology, has taken significant strides with its latest offering, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This iteration introduces noteworthy enhancements in multitasking capabilities, a sleek inner screen experience, and an entirely flat-folding hinge. Compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 5 is impressively 2.4mm slimmer, measuring 13.4mm when folded, thanks to its innovative hinge design.

The device’s physical feel also reflects this advancement when held in hand, weighing 253 grams. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 showcases a well-balanced design with its unique Flex Hinge, complemented by its pro-grade camera capabilities featuring the distinctive FlexCam. These attributes justify its price tag by delivering exceptional foldable experiences.

Samsung has seen an enthusiastic response in India, securing record pre-bookings for the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 devices. The 7.6-inch main screen boasts a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a resolution of 2176 x 1812 and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The peak brightness has been enhanced by over 30%, reaching up to 1750 nits, enabling optimal outdoor visibility, even in bright sunlight—something that competing foldables currently struggle with.

The 6.2-inch cover screen is equally impressive, featuring an HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a resolution of 2316 x 904 and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

When opened, the Z Fold 5 demonstrates seamless multitasking capabilities. Samsung has improved everyday productivity by evolving from Multi Window and App Continuity to features such as Taskbar, drag and drop functionality, and the optimization of third-party apps.

The device is compatible with the S Pen Fold Edition, offering an enhanced writing experience while conveniently fitting in a pocket. The updated Taskbar facilitates dynamic productivity by enabling quick switches between frequently used apps, allowing up to four recent apps to be easily accessible. Enhanced two-handed drag and drop further boosts efficiency when transferring content between apps and screens. For example, users can touch and hold an image in Samsung Gallery with one finger while using another finger to open the Samsung Notes app and seamlessly drag-and-drop the image.
