Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi has emerged as a major box-office success, winning appreciation from audiences for its emotional storytelling and strong performances. The film has reportedly crossed the Rs. 200 crore gross mark worldwide, adding to its impressive theatrical run.
The makers recently held a success celebration, where actor Ajay Ghosh shared an interesting behind-the-scenes detail about his character in the film.
According to Ajay Ghosh, he was initially considered for the role of the MLA, an important character in the story. However, the role was eventually given to another actor following discussions involving director Shiva Nirvana, the producers, and Ravi Teja.
The reason behind the change was related to the audience’s perception of Ajay Ghosh. The team reportedly felt that if he appeared as the MLA, viewers might quickly suspect that the character had a negative side, considering the types of roles he has portrayed in several of his earlier films.
To avoid making the character predictable, the makers decided to cast a different actor as the MLA. Ajay Ghosh was subsequently offered another role in the movie.
The revelation has given fans an interesting glimpse into the thought process behind the casting decisions for Irumudi. It also highlights how the filmmakers carefully considered audience expectations while shaping the film’s key characters.
The movie features Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Baby Nakshathra, Sai Kumar, Swasika Vijay, and others in prominent roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
