As many as 6,008 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from various hospitals in Tamil Nadu taking the total tally of cured patients to 368,141 on Monday, said the state Health Department.
A total of 5,956 persons tested positive for coronavirus over the past 24-hours taking the total tally to 428,041.
The state recorded the death of 91 Covid-19 patients taking the total tally till date to 7,322.
The total number of active Covid-19 cases factoring cured persons and the dead stands at 52,578 persons.
The state capital Chennai continued to head the Covid-19 infection table with 1,150 persons testing positive for the virus and the total tally stands at 135,597.
The number of infected children in the state in the age group 0-12 went up to 19,748.
