Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Children During Ganesh Procession:
Late on Thursday night in Yemmiganur town of Kurnool district, a tragic incident occurred during a procession carrying a Lord Ganesh idol. Two children lost their lives, and three others sustained severe injuries when a Bolero vehicle, decorated for the occasion, collided with participants in the procession. The Bolero, which had set off from the SMT colony, veered out of control, leading to the accident.
The victims, Manoj (7) and Raju (16), tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while Dhanush, Ramesh, and Lakshmi suffered severe injuries and have been hospitalized. Thankfully, the condition of the injured trio is reported to be stable.
Yemmiganur police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have transported the deceased bodies to Yemmiganur Hospital for post-mortem examination.
