Two girls were saved from an accident that happened on Sunday near Perupalem beach in the West Godavari district, but two people died and a young person was reported missing. The two girls were brought to the Narsapuram Government Hospital for admission.
Two families totaling fifteen people, including two drivers, reportedly traveled from Tanuku in the West Godavari district to Perupalem beach in the afternoon, according to the Mogalturu police. Five people were reported missing in the waters while they were bathing in the sea.
Among them, the remains of Anupoju Raghu Varma (26), and Gorsa Savithri (30) were recognized. 17-year-old Anupoju Vasantha Kumar was absent. Anupoju Sravani, 19, and Gorsa Tanmayi, 15, were the two girls who were saved and taken to the Government Hospital in Narsapuram.
Vasantha Kumar, 17, was a focus of an ongoing search. Police in Mogalturu filed a case.
