Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) condemned the Attack on CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and called for an unbiased investigation by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The incident occurred during a bus yatra in Vijayawada, where an unidentified individual threw a stone at CM Jagan, resulting in a deep cut above his left eyebrow.
YSRCP leader KK Raju led protests against the attack, accusing the TDP and its allies, BJP and Jana Sena Party, of orchestrating it. The incident has intensified political tensions ahead of the upcoming assembly polls, with both sides trading accusations amid preparations for the simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
I strongly condemn the attack on @ysjagan. I request the @ECISVEEP to initiate an impartial and unbiased inquiry into the incident and punish the responsible officials.
