The U-19 World Cup Final between India and Australia is underway in Mount Maunganui Cricket Ground, New Zealand. After winning the toss, Australia chose to bat first. Just when it seemed the Australian openers were taking the game away from the Indians, IC Porel struck in the 6th over. With a couple of wickets after the first wicket, Australia was struggling at 59/3 in the 12 over.

It was then, Merlo (76) and Uppal (34) established a 75-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Post that, the Australian’s crumbled due to continuous dot balls, and ended up throwing their wickets. Australia final score was 216/10 in 47.2 overs. Except for Abhishek and Shivam Mavi, rest all bowlers took 2 wickets each. While Shivam Mavi took 1 wicket, Abhishek was wicket-less.  Shiva Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 36 in his 10 overs.

At the time of writing this article, India is 24/0 at the end of the 4th over. Manjot Kalra (9) and Prithvi Shaw (10) are in the crease. Due to rain, the play has been interrupted. The Local Time is 7 ½ ahead of the Indian Standard Time.
