Varun Tej could be heading towards an interesting new collaboration with acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. According to the latest industry buzz, the actor and director are reportedly planning to work together on a romantic drama, marking a refreshing change from the intense action-oriented stories often associated with Subbaraj.
While Karthik Subbaraj has built a reputation for blending action, crime, revenge, and unconventional storytelling, the reported project is said to explore a love story with Varun Tej in the lead. Details about the script, cast, production house, and timeline are currently under wraps, and an official announcement is still awaited.
The reported combination has already sparked curiosity among moviegoers, as Varun Tej and Karthik Subbaraj have never worked together before. If the project materializes, it could offer the actor a distinctly different role and allow the filmmaker to explore a new genre.
For now, Varun Tej is expected to concentrate on Bhari, a sports drama directed by Yadhu Vamsee. The film is being produced by his sister Niharika Konidela, and the actor is likely to begin work on the project before moving on to his other commitments.
Meanwhile, fans are also waiting for an update on the possible sequel to Korean Kanakaraju. Director Merlapaka Gandhi has previously hinted at the possibility of continuing the story following the film’s open-ended climax. However, there is currently no clarity on when the sequel will officially go on floors.
With multiple interesting projects reportedly in the pipeline, Varun Tej appears to have an exciting lineup ahead. The official word on his collaboration with Karthik Subbaraj is now eagerly awaited.
