Vijayashanti playing Indira Gandhi in Balakrishna’s NTR?

Director Teja is currently busy with pre-production for the NTR’s biopic ‘NTR’ starring Balakrishna. The Nandamuri hero will be reprising his father on the silver screen. Regular shooting of the film is likely to commence from May 2018. NTR not only threatened his counterparts at the state level but also sent a danger signal to Indira Gandhi at the centre. NTR played a monumental role in forming the third front against then Congress Supremo Indira Gandhi.
If reports are to believed, Indira Gandhi role will have prominence in the NTR biopic film. Director Teja is considering two actors for the role currently. One of them is Yesteryear’s top heroine Vijayashanti, while the other is Nadia. Given Vijayashanti’s screen performance and her past, more or less she is like to play as Indira Gandhi in Balakrishna’s NTR. Even Nadia also has decent chances, given her growing popularity in Tollywood in the past few years.
Both the actors are noted for their top-notch performances. Close sources in film circles are stating that Balakrishna is likely to be the decision maker in this case. Given Balayya’s decision, we can see Vijayashanti as Indira Gandhi in Balakrishna’s NTR.
