The resounding political debut of Thalapathy Vijay in Tamil Nadu has unexpectedly shifted attention toward Pawan Kalyan, who is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. In the wake of Vijay’s strong performance, Pawan Kalyan has been facing increased scrutiny and trolling on social media.
Vijay’s party delivered an impressive showing in its very first election and is now edging closer to forming the government. His swift political rise has reminded many observers of N. T. Rama Rao and his dramatic entry into politics.
In contrast, Pawan Kalyan launched the Jana Sena Party in 2014 but chose not to contest elections that year, instead extending support to the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the 2019 elections, he contested from two constituencies but lost both, while his party secured just a single seat.
These contrasting political journeys have fueled widespread comparisons, even though both leaders operate in different states and under very different political dynamics.
