YS Rajasekhar Reddy Biopic Update

Director Mahi V Raghav caught everyone’s attention with his debut movie ‘Anando Brahma’. The movie starred Taapsee Pannu and Srinivas Reddy in lead roles. Post that, though the director is not seen anywhere in the film circles, he is busy in the political circles.
It is learned that Mahi V Raghav will be directing a biopic film on former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy (or YSR). The director is currently busy in finalizing the cast for the film. In addition, the director finished the script work very recently, according to close sources.
Though Akkineni Nagarjuna has been asked to reprise the role of YSR on the silver screen, the senior hero reportedly rejected the offer. According to the grapevine, Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be essaying the role of YSR on the screen. Meanwhile, Nayantara will be playing the female lead in the movie.
Shashi Devireddy and Vijay Chilla will be bankrolling the movie. An official announcement confirming the lead cast and the rest of the technical team is expected very soon from the director. Moreover, YSR’s biopic is aimed at the 2019 AP Assembly elections.
