The No Confidence Movement issued by the AP State Government along with its Opposition Party YSRCP worked out to some extent. The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has changed his demanding tone to rather a soft one with the unexpected support AP is getting from the left parties.
The BJP took the state of AP for granted and hurt its self-respect like anything. The sudden backlash from its ex-alliance partner TDP made BJP realize that it cannot play more games with the newest residual state of India. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who irked the people of AP by saying a big No to Special Category Status is now singing a new song. In his recent interview with a National media, Arun Jaitley claimed that his party BJP has shown very concern on AP. As giving Special Category Status is impossible, his party announced Special Package to AP in order to rescue the state. He assured the entire Nation by declaring that Centre will grant all promised things according to the AP Bifurcation Act.
To minimize the damage, Arun claimed that he already made AP Government agreed to accept Package along with sharing Centre’s revenues. However, Arun is getting trolled for his ending remarks. He worried about a gateway to transfer funds from Centre to staTe being in the position of Indian Union Finance Minister. The No Confidence Movement worked like magic but only to half extent. AP still seeks for Special Category Status at any cost so that it can have its benefits. It’s time for our AP politicians to intensify their fight on Centre until they get all the promised grants.
