Benefits and Risks of Artificial intelligence

Date:

Artificial intelligence is also known as a weak or narrow artificial Intelligence, and it is designed to perform narrow tasks such as facial recognition or only internet searches or only driving a car. Many researchers are aiming to create a general artificial intelligence or strong artificial intelligence. While weak artificial intelligence may outperform humans at whatever its specific task such as playing chess or solving equations. But the general artificial intelligence would outperform humans at nearly every cognitive tasks.

From Siri in iPhone to a self-driving car an artificial intelligence is increasing very fast. While in science it often portrays artificial intelligence as a robot with human-like characteristics. Artificial intelligence can encompass anything from Google’s search algorithms to IBM Watson to autonomous weapons. It has been a dream a long time for humans to create machines that have the ability to take decisions on their own. While these thinking machines are still in the movies, fully thinking machines are still a farfetched dream

Benefits of artificial intelligence:

1. Increase work efficiency:

Artificial intelligence machines are greatly useful at doing repetitive wore with great efficiency. They are best at repetitive work because they remove human errors in the work to achieve accurate results every time when they do a work. These are can twenty-four hours every day not as like human. It is not necessary to take rest as a human. If a task need to be done 24hrs in a day human cannot work so there will be two shift who are sharing the works, artificial intelligence example can be like its can chat assistants can answer customer queries and provide support to visitors every minute of the day and increase sales of the company.

2. Work with efficiency:

Artificial intelligence machines are being taught by the scientist to solve equations and do critical tasks on their own so that the result can be of higher accuracy as compared to the human counterparts

3. Reduce cost:

Machines reduce the cost of operations with their high efficiency and accuracy of doing work. Artificial intelligence machine learns algorithms to learn new things like humans do. There are many researchers are being done to develop the artificial intelligence machines they can optimize their machine learning abilities to learn much faster about new things

Risks of Artificial intelligence

1. The threat to humanity:

There are many researchers who believe that the artificial intelligence is the biggest threat to human civilization in the future. This means that the next generation are future that sci-fi movies show is not impossible it may happen in the future, Stephen Hawkins has always shown his disagreement with the agreement with the advancement in the field of artificial intelligence

2. Lesser jobs:

Better than human machines perform routine and repetitive work more efficiently and faster. So in future, many businesses prefer artificial intelligence than the human

3. The unsustainability of artificial intelligence:

Their machines have high computer power by an array of several processers. These contain materials like selenium, for batteries lithium which is very rare in the environment and is being irreversible damaging our environment, they consume the huge amount of power to run, which can put huge pressure on the power plants and again harming the environment.
