Boult leaves the cricket field due to pain on ribs

Date:

Trent Boult, the left-arm pacer, has walked off the field after experiencing pain on the right side of his ribs, and won’t take any further part in the first Test against England in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand Cricket said on Monday (November 25).

Boult, who bowled only one over on Day 5 before leaving the field, will undergo an MRI scan on Tuesday. In case he doesn’t recover on time, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry are the other pace options for New Zealand in the 15-man squad for the second Test, which is set to begin on Friday in Hamilton.
