According to close sources, it is learned that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is looking to reshuffle his current cabinet team of ministers. With 2019 elections in view, the CM is willing to have ‘strong leaders’ as a part of his cabinet.

‘The CM is looking for party leaders who could take the party’s motto and message strongly to the public. The cabinet ministers apart from supervising their constitutional roles, should also take various beneficiary schemes and programs into the society,’ said a bureaucrat close to the CM’s office.

Interestingly, CM is likely to remove one his close aide from the Cabinet and limit him to Party affairs. On the same lines, even a senior most political leader in the cabinet is expected to lose his minister portfolio in exchange for a Rajya Sabha MP seat. Meanwhile, a leader who often involves himself with controversies and is known as ‘firebrand’ is likely to find a place in the cabinet, given his dedication towards the party.

One leader from Prakasam district will also be a part of the Cabinet. This leader is learned to have immense support from Nara Lokesh. With this reshuffle in his cabinet, Chandrababu is aiming to create a ‘fresh and young environment’ keeping 2019 elections in mind.
