Neither Google nor Samsung has revealed the December 2019 security patch, but the Galaxy A50 has surpassed all the other devices to the thrust as it is now getting a new update in Israel, which combines the newest security firmware. The December 2019 security patch update is added in the newest Android 10 beta, but this is the first time that it reaches a Galaxy smartphone on a live build.
The new update reaching the Galaxy A50 provides version number A505FDDU3ASKA, and the character U after ‘DD’ in the variant number indicates the update should technically introduce new characteristics along with enhanced security. As of yet, there are no confirmed new features. Although the rollout is restricted to Israel as of now, it should grow into more quarters sooner rather than later.
As usual, the upgrade is followed by a notification which users can tap to begin the update method, or users can launch the Settings app on your Galaxy A50, go to software update option and check for the latest software build manually.
