IT Raids Jaya TV and Shashikala Aides

As a part of ‘Operation Clean Money,’ the IT department raided the offices in Jaya TV in Chennai. The raid began in the early hours at 6:30 am in the morning and got carried in 187 locations as well.
The IT raids have reached the TTV Dinakaran’s house, as well as AIADMK Karnataka in charge, Pugazhendi, in his Domlur residence.
Raids are being conducted at various groups that included Jaya TV, some raids are taking place even in Andhra Pradesh and Delhi.
According to PTI, the searches are taking place followed by allegations on shell companies, dubious investments, fudging of accounts by Jaya TV, Fund flow which is started by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and currently controlled by Shashikala’s family.
There are allegations on these companies of evading taxes and further probe is going on whether there is any money laundering going on and any possible links to shell companies.
In all, 187 companies have come under IT scrutiny and Vivek the director of Jaya TV is also being raided.
