Kohli needs someone to point out his mistakes

Former Indian cricketer, and dashing opener, Virender Sehwag came hard at Virat Kohli and the team management. Sehwag opined that it is really unfortunate to see no one coming forward to condemn and criticize Kohli’s decisions when required. The fellow players should point out mistakes of the captain on the field.

‘Kohli needs someone to point out his mistakes both on-field and in the dressing room. Be it team selection, or strategies, other players should tell Kohli where is going wrong. There used to be 4 to 5 players like such, in every team in the past. They ensure that their captain doesn’t make any faults on the field. The current Indian team doesn’t have that kind. No player is challenging Kohli’s team selection in the dressing room,’ expressed Sehwag.

Sehwag who is famously called as ‘Sultan of Multan’, and ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ believes that Kohli’s over expectations on other players is impacting his captaincy. ‘Kohli has the ability to perform brilliantly even in critical situations. That is not the case with other players. He expects others to play the fearless game, which may not be possible. Even Sachin felt the same way during his tenure as Indian captain. Virat should realize that one player cannot win matches. There should be a collective effort in the team’s winning.
