Nagarjuna’s ‘partiality’ in new promo gets fans talking

In one of the recent episodes of ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 5’, Actress Priya had an outburst on VJ Sunny, as he tried to defend his game.

This brought so much negativity to her, and the audience was convinced that the host Nagarjuna would school her for her bad behaviour at the Bigg Boss house.

The latest promo released features Nagarjuna hosting Saturday’s episode.

The promo hints at the host’s partial judgment, as he makes fun of VJ Sunny, instead of schooling actress Priya for her rude behaviour. Well, Nagarjuna is known for his seriousness when the housemates treat others in that tone, but this time, he fails to do so with Priya.

The viewers who got a hint at the episode, are upset, thinking that the host is taking Priya’s side by not addressing the real issue.

“Priya literally provoked Sunny all the while last week. As expected, women can yell at men. But, this host is okay if women foul-mouth about men”, one of the replies on Twitter reads.

“Sunny had undergone so much harassment. But, Nagarjuna is making fun of him without even being serious”, another tweet reads.

Actress Priya had yelled at Sunny, and warned him that she would break his mouth multiple times during the task. Nagarjuna, sliding off this matter is not well appreciated by the audience.

‘Bigg Boss 15’: Donal Bisht says ex-housemates pulled her down

Actress-model Donal Bisht, who recently got evicted from ‘Bigg Boss 15’, says she is overwhelmed with the love coming her way and that she gave her hundred percent in the controversial reality show.

Donal said: “I am just overwhelmed with the hashtags going around on social media, it is more than enough for me and I am sure it is going to help me a lot in my career.”

During the game, contestants pointed out that she lacked in making connections. However, Donal feels that that although she “gave her hundred percent to make connections,” the other contestants pulled her down.

Donal asserted that she can’t be a follower.

She said: “I have my own thinking and this is what the housemates were not liking about me. Many follow Vishal Kotian who himself is toxic and if you follow the toxicity, it will obviously spread around.”

According to Donal, there was a lot of planning inside the house to sideline her.

“Vishal Kotian, Karan Kundrra, Jay Bhanushali and Tejasswi Prakash were completely against me and in fact Afsana Khan with whom later I developed a good bonding, told me that initially they all had decided to sideline me. They never wanted me to shine in the house.

“Afsana was also with them in all their games. But afterwards we became friends. Afsana also revealed to me that they said there should be only one girl in the house and that is Tejasswi. And for Tejasswi, I was the biggest threat.

“Eventually when Afsana understood me she used to tell everyone that I am beautiful person with a golden heart. She often calls me ‘Vishwasundari’,” Donal added.

She shares that Shamita Shetty and Vishal Kotian tried to create misunderstanding between her and Afsana.

“Shamita and Vishal always advised me to stay away from Afsana as it would portray me in the wrong light. But I never listened to them.”

“Actually, they all feel that I am arrogant. During Weekend ka Vaar, Salman Khan and Farah Khan too mentioned that everyone targetted me in the house. Nishant Bhat and Pratik Sehajpal always called me a lone warrior,” she adds.

Samantha could simply seek apology rather than filing defamation cases

South India’s most happening actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently filed defamation cases against a couple of YouTube channels and an individual for streaming malignant content about her, has apparently received a legal blow.

Samantha had filed legal cases, which come under Kukatpally court in Hyderabad. After listening to her side of the case, the court apparently ordered that the actress could simply seek an apology from her opponents, rather than filing defamation cases.

“The actress can seek a word of apology from the content owners of the concerned YouTube channels, individuals and media outlets, rather than filing defamation cases on them,” the court suggested, as per reports.

The court went on to school the actress and apparently indicated that celebrities share personal details on public domain and then file defamation suits.

“In court, everyone is equal before the law. There is no sense of some being high and others being low. We will hear Samantha’s case as per the procedure,” the court concluded.

Samantha’s announcement about her divorce from Naga Chaitanya had invited unwanted comments and speculation about their relationship, and some channels went forward and linked her up with random colleagues.

Prakash Raj went further and questioned the Election Officer Krishna Mohan, on why he has been silent on the happenings. “#MaaElections2021 .. dear Election officer Krishna mohan garu .. this is just the beginning.. give us the CC footage.. we will let the world know what happened.. how the elections were conducted #justasking”, Prakash Raj’s recent tweet reads.

“We already appealed for the CCTV footage from the voting booth. You fail to give us an explanation, sir. Here are proofs that YSRCP representative, Samba Siva Rao was there at the booth on the day of MAA elections. We need answers”, Prakash Raj said.

‘Babloo Bachelor’: Amusing, but only with bits of hilarity:Review

Film: Babloo Bachelor (running in theatres)

Duration: 135 minutes

Director: Agnidev Chatterjee

Cast: Sharman Joshi, Pooja Chopra, Tejashri Pradhan, Aakash Dabhade, Rajesh Sharma, Neeraj Khetripal, Sumeet Gulati, Asrani, Beena Bhat and Raju Kher.

‘Babloo Bachelor’ is a simple romantic drama with a hackneyed premise. Nevertheless, it is executed with earnestness. Set in Lucknow, ‘Babloo Bachelor’ is the story of Ranvijay aka Babloo, a zamindar’s son who basks in his father’s glory. A simpleton and a writer of sorts, Babloo in his endeavour to find “the perfect bride” has rejected many proposals.

Very soon, the best matchmaker of Lucknow, Premanand Tiwari (Asrani), is roped in to find a perfect match for Babloo, who by now is tainted as the eternal bachelor.

At 35 and under duress, Babloo is introduced to Avantika (Pooja Chopra), an ambitious young woman who confesses to him that she had five boyfriends in the past. Babloo agrees to marry her, despite her confession, after being convinced by his best friend Chotu (Aakash Dabhade) that having affairs is a norm in modern times.

It does not take long for Babloo to fall head-over-heels with Avantika. But a few days before the wedding, Avantika confesses to him that she is not interested in settling down with an unambitious man and requests him to call off the wedding.

Once again, the heartbroken Babloo finds himself asserting that he is jinxed to remain a bachelor all his life. A few months later, at his cousin’s wedding, he chances upon Swati (Tejashri Pradhan), an aspiring actress who takes advantage of Babloo’s naivety and forces him to marry her. How she does not allow him to consummate the marriage forms the crux of the tale.

Director Agnidev Chatterjee’s oeuvre seems to be mounted on an outdated and perfunctory script packed with high-handed dialogues mouthed by Babloo’s dad (Rajesh Sharma) and frivolous ones by Chotu and Babloo’s uncle (Manoj Joshi).

Treated in a lighter vein, the plot, though focused, lacks the seriousness to connect emotionally. The comic scenes appear to be amateurishly handled and the resultant humour appears trite and forced.

On the performance front, the actors delivers their part with sincerity. Sharman Joshi, as the middle-aged, dejected Babloo, fits the bill perfectly. He brings a comedic heart to the character, who seems to prefer staying in his comfort zone.

He displays a subdued nervousness, which is in contrast to selfish and mean streaks of the characters played by Pooja Chopra and Tejashri Pradhan’s selfish and mean streak. Pooja and Tejashri deliver their parts competently, but their scenes with Sharman lack chemistry on-screen.

Aakash Dabhade and Sumeet Gulati (who plays his cousin) are over-the-top, loud and stereotyped in their roles, but they are relatable. Given Asrani’s talent, in a minuscule part, he is short-changed by the script.

The songs, despite being loud, are melodious and well-picturised, considering the film’s moderate production values. The numbers ‘Kasam’, ‘Aye Meri Zindagi’, ‘Jiya Nahin Lagta’, ‘Banna Banni’, ‘Jealous’ and ‘Tum Ho’ mesh seamlessly into the narrative, bringing relief to the staid storytelling.

Overall, ‘Babloo Bachelor’ is a mildly funny but sweet film that will make you smile.
