Bengali thriller ‘F.I.R. No. 339/07/06’ set to release on OTT

Bengali film ‘F.I.R. No. 339/07/06’ starring Bonny Sengupta, Ankush Hazra, Falaque Rashid Roy and Ritabhari Chakraborty is digitally releasing on Friday after a theatrical stint.

After a theatrical release on October 10, the Joydeep Mukherjee directorial ‘F.I.R. No. 339/07/06’ is now available on ZEE5.

Mukherjee said: “The film reflects a society where a situation may not always be black and white.”

It is a story about Raghunathpur, a small village in Birbhum, which is run by two powerful men from two rival political families. Things come to a sudden stupendous halt when key members of Mishra and Samaddar’s gangs are found dead one after the other, under mysterious circumstances. This naturally propels the rivalry between Mishra and Samaddar to an altogether different point, as they suspect the other party to be behind it and a police investigation begins to uncover the truth and the murderers.

Actor Bonny Sengupta added: “‘F.I.R. No. 339/07/06’ is a great film with an engaging plot. It was a treat to play this character which was challenging and gratifying in equal parts.”

Despite being a remake, Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati-starrer ‘Bheemla Nayak’ has managed to top the list of the most-anticipated Telugu movies. Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s collaboration is one reason behind the hype around this movie.

The makers of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ released a picture from the sets from where Rana and Pawan Kalyan are shooting for a short schedule. The picture features Rana Daggubati and Pawan Kalyan, who are seen chilling together on the sets in the middle of the shots.

Though the picture looked like a casual pose from the sets, the stars seem to be recreating the ‘Gopala Gopala’ movie poster. ‘Gopala Gopala’ is a movie in which Pawan Kalyan and Rana’s uncle Venkatesh Dagguabti had acted together, and created much hype at that point.

A poster featuring Pawan and Venkatesh had created a magical hype at that point in time. Now that Rana and Pawan are to share the screen together, they seem to have worked on re-creating ‘Gopala Gopala’s most hyped pose.

‘Bheemla Nayak’ is all set to get a formal wrap soon, so as to enter into the post-production phase, so the team is working hard, to wind up the talkie part soon. ‘Bheemla Nayak’ is the official remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.

‘Bheemla Nayak’ is directed by Sagar K. Chandra, while S.S. Thaman is the music composer. Bankrolled under Sithara Entertainments, the movie stars Nithya Menen as the female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer ‘Anek’, directed by Anubhav Sinha, has been locked for March 31, 2022 release.

Ayushmann said: “It’s only once in a while that an actor comes across a story that makes him jump out of his comfort zone. While I have always backed novel stories, ‘Anek’ pushed me to perform with a renewed zest. It’s the kind of script that drives a person to give it your all. I am so proud that we’ve made a film like this and even more fortunate that I got the chance to headline it.”

Ayushmann said that ‘Anek’ is the kind of new age cinema that he believes in.

He added: “I am thankful to Anubhav Sir for choosing me to tell this special story and Bhushan Sir to be the support system we needed in our journey. Seeing our passion project go out to the world is so heartening.”

The film is touted to be a slick spy thriller, set against the geo-political backdrop of Northeast India.

Later, the actor had to arrange shooting for another movie ‘Bheemla Nayak’, which is slated for release in the coming months. Pawan Kalyan is to now restart shooting for ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ soon. With only half of the talkie part completed, the makers have arranged for a fresh schedule.

Pawan Kalyan is to join the sets of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ from October 25. It is reported that Pawan will be seen in a high-octane fight sequence, which is touted to be one of the most important sequences for the movie. Another important update is that Bollywood stars Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez are to appear in important roles in the movie as well.

Noted producer A.M. Rathnam, who bankrolled Pawan’s ‘Khushi’ in the past, is presenting the movie, under A. Dayakara Rao’s production.

The epic drama is slated for release on April 29, 2022, as of now. It is reported that the makers are eyeing to wrap up the shoot as soon as possible, so as to release it on the announced date.
