Adhyayan Suman says A.R. Rahman ‘a huge inspiration’

Actor-singer Adhyayan Suman released his new single track ‘Jab se Dekha on Wednesday.

Actor Shekhar Suman’s son, Adhyayan, has sung two recreations and one original — “Soniyo 2.0” and “Aaya na tu 2.0′ and “Peg Daariya” in the past.

Talking about the inspiration for his original song, which talks of love and attraction, Adhyayan told IANS: “The inspiration behind my new single is love and attraction. It’s something that all of us have felt at some point of our journeys, we have always met some people and felt attracted when they are strangers, there is always a curiosity to know more about them.”

The actor was last seen in the web series “Aashram” seasons 1 and 2. His co-actor in the series Bobby Deol shared about the track. “The vibe of Adhyayan’s new song ‘Jab se Dekha’ is fantastic. It’s groovy yet strikes the right chord of romance and makes you think of good times. Adhyayan has done a great job with both singing and directing this single,” said Bobby Deol.

Adhyayan, 33, ventured into singing when he wasn’t getting enough opportunities as an actor. He said: “Two things made me venture into singing. One, I was at that point of my life when I was not getting the right opportunities as an actor. While I was wasting my time, I thought I might as well chase my passion for music.”

He added: “The second reason, why singing happened is because I had certain emotions that made me want to sing. I owe a lot of it to the heartbreak that I had in 2014-15. Music is a very emotional thing for me, a way to heal myself.”

The actor-singer is seen opposite debutant Mallaikaa Chheda in ‘Jab se Dekha’. The track is written by Ronit Vinta and composed by Giri G, presented by Eros Now Music.

Adhyayan gets his musical inspiration from stalwart A.R. Rahman. He also draws inspiration from Justin Beiber and Arijit Singh. He shared: “I follow Justin Beiber. His journey inspires me. From being a kid to a superstar, who has this humongous fall in his career, but then he stood up and is doing so well now.”

“A.R. Rahman sir is a huge inspiration. What inspires me, even more, is, how grounded these singers are even after achieving so much in their respective careers,” he added.

The actor shared, he has multiple projects in his kitty like “Trapped”, “Dharamshetra”, “Con Man”, “Inspector Avinash”, “Ranchod”, “Anthony Kalia”, “Jiglo”, “Bakhlol”, “Daisy” and his debut South film “Madrasi Gang”.

“I have about 14 web shows and few films in the pipeline. I really appreciate these times because I know that there was a time when I had nothing in my hand. The last 5-6 years have been tough but after ‘Aashram’ everything has changed, I am just thankful now,” signed off Adhyayan.

Rakul Preet Singh ‘excited’ to join ‘Dr G’ cast in Bhopal

I’m very thrilled and look forward to start shooting with Anubhuti, Ayushman, Shefali ji and the entire cast and crew it’s an amazing script and very close to my heart,” Rakul says.

This marks her maiden visit to the city of Bhopal. The actress is keen on exploring the city too in between the schedule.

“This is my first time shooting in Bhopal. Had always heard it’s a city of lakes and as soon as I landed and my drive to the hotel was so beautiful. It’s such a green and pretty city. Can’t wait to explore it. I also want to try the poha and jalebi here that I have heard of so much,” she says.

Rashami Desai: I have changed as a person after ‘Bigg Boss’

Television actress Rashami Desai, who gained immense popularity after participating in the reality show “Bigg Boss 13” in 2019, says she has changed as a person after the show.

“Life has not changed after ‘Bigg Boss’. I have changed as a person, but for good. I’m more content and happier with myself. I’ve understood about self love. I’ve realised that I’m a person who loves people around her. I enjoyed a lot being on the show,” Rashami told IANS.

The actress made her digital debut with the latest web series “Tandoor”.

Revealing details of her character in the series, Rashami said: “The name of my character is Palak who is an independent, fearless and strong minded woman. Since college only they knew each other and apparently the guy was in love with her and then she fell in love with him.”

“There are situations in the story and it is difficult to decide who is right and who is wrong. At the end some will feel it’s the wife, some will feel it is the husband, while some will feel the main culprit is somebody else!” the actress informed, leaving viewers in suspense.

Opening up on what inspired the series, the actress shared: “The story is of the time when I was a child. At that time I didn’t even know what is tandoor. It is about the Tandoor kaand but there have been changes in the story. It’s very beautifully directed by Nivedita (Basu) and the co-actors were really good.”

How was the experience of working with her co-star Tanuj Virwani?

“He is amazing! More than the acting, his detailing work is so good. Every character that he is doing, he works in details for them. Every scene has come out beautifully, when there is love, that is hate, there is anger, everything is looking very real. He has learnt a little bit of direction also, so his point of view is always interesting! I have learnt a lot of things from him technically also,” replied the actress.

Taking part in a dark and intense story like “Tandoor”, did leave an impact on her mentally, admits Rashami.

“When we were shooting the gunshot scene, I didn’t speak to anybody after that for two days because I kept thinking about her. The mentality becomes very different when you are playing somebody else and you are not like that. It was very disturbing that you love somebody so much and then that someone will shoot you!” she said.

With Rashami venturing into the digital space after gaining popularity on television, any plans of trying luck in Bollywood?

“I will. I had an opportunity before also but I had my commitments. When I am committed to something, I am very much dedicated. I’m not saying no to it, nobody will say no. It depends on the subject and the director,” she said.

Helmed by Nivedita Basu, “Tandoor” streams on Ullu App.

Kunal Jaisingh: Important to look good, stay fit for an actor

Kunal Jaisingh, who was last seen playing a negative character on the show ‘Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye’, says it is important for actors to look good and stay fit.

He says: “It is important to look good and stay fit for an actor to have ample work in their kitty. Acting brings in such responsibility, apart from your skills you need to win hearts and impress the audience with your looks too.”

Kunal says experimenting with looks helps in not getting boxed and this is the reason why he keeps exploring new looks with different hairstyles and beard.

The actor adds: “It is fun for me to experiment with my looks by changing hairstyles to flaunting beards in different styles. I always enjoy it.”

“With a new look an actor gets assured that he will not be offered similar kinds of roles. Every time with the new look you can step in auditioning for a new character.”

For Kunal, fitness is of utmost importance.

The 31-year-old actor shared: “I didn’t spend long hours in the gym. I workout for a limited time so that I can stay in good shape. Apart from that I enjoy going for a walk and practicing yoga.”

Kunal, who started his career with ‘Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya’, says it is important to remain fit as certain times there are long working hours and you have to be active all the time.

He said: “An actor needs to stay fit because you never know how long you need to shoot or what the track demands, fight or dance. A fit actor can be active and perform anytime.”

Sonu Sood: Small businesses are the basic backbone of our country

For the past few weeks, actor and social worker Sonu Sood has been actively campaigning on social media with the hashtag #supportsmallbusiness.

Sharing videos where he can be seen playing a bread and eggs seller on bicycle, a milkman or a ‘dhaba’ owner making ‘rotis’, the actor has been urging people to support local businesses as he feels they are the basic backbone of our country.

Talking about the same, Sonu told in an interview: “Small businesses are the basic backbone of our country. I have always tried to promote small businesses as they need support. Many small businesses are unable to sustain their daily livelihood. I try and help them out whenever I get to see someone put in their hard work and trying to make an honest day’s living out of it.”

“I come from a very small town and I know how hard these people work in order to make their small businesses successful. By pushing them forward, we can help the nation’s economy, as these small businesses are grassroot-level companies and work out of the rural heartlands of the country. So it always feels good to help them out,” he added.

On the work front, the actor will feature in upcoming projects like the Hindi historical drama film “Prithviraj” and the Telugu action drama “Acharya”.
