TFPC cancels film shootings from March 16th

South Indian Film Producer Council India called for a complete lockout of movie theatres from March 2nd in South India. Except in the Telugu states, the lockout is continuing in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Adding to this, the Tamil Film Producer Council (TFPC) stated that, all the shootings and post-production works should be boycotted from March 16th onwards. Along with this, no new films will also be released.

For a very long time, Producers’ Councils across various film industries have been fighting for eliminating the Virtual Print fees, which the Digital Service Providers charge from the theatre owners and producers.

The TFPC also called for a reduction in online ticket booking service charge, computerized ticketing in all theatres, allotting considerable theatres for small films, and keeping a constant check on the ticketing prices.

Though representatives of Digital Service Providers and the Producers’ Council met a couple of times in the last few days, they failed to strike a common balance. It will be interesting to see, how far will this go, especially keeping in mind about Rajinikanth’s Kaala release, and other Tamil movies.

Sindhu Menon Named First Accused In Bank Cheating Case

If you had seen movie ‘Chandamama’ directed by Krishna Vamsi, you are should be better knowing about the two female leads. While one is Kajal Agarwal, one of the star heroines currently, the other actress is Sindhu Menon, who left the film industry. With the Nirav Modi case coming to light, the bank officials are carefully examining the list of other defaulters who have taken loans with forged documents.

During one such examination, it was found out that, Chandamama movie heroine, Sindhu Menon has taken a loan of Rs 30 lakhs from Bank of Baroda. The loan was reportedly secured with forged documents from the bank’s branch in Bangalore.

In this context, the police arrested Sindhu Menon’s brother, and another lady (identified as Nagasri). Sindhu Menon’s name is mentioned as the 3rd accused in the FIR. A notice of the same has been sent to the former heroine, who is currently living in London.

After marrying an IT professional Domini Prabhu, Sindhu Menon left the film industry and settled in London.

One single contract has damaged the dreams of 2.0 makers.Going into the details, the flick 2.0 has high-quality graphics with a run time of 90 minutes or more.
