No other heroine had a great time like Rakul in the past. It looks like there is an exception to that list now. Pooja Hegde made her Telugu debut alongside Naga Chaitanya in the film ‘Oka Laila Kosam’.

Her next venture in Telugu ‘Mukunda’ starring opposite Varun Tej only disappointed her. Even her Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan ‘Mohenja Daro’ did not bring her any success.

Her third venture in Tollywood, ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ starring Allu Arjun brought her film career back on track. After scoring a big hit at the box office, Pooja Hegde became the talk of the town. She bagged to star in Mahesh Babu’s landmark 25th film, #MB25. She is currently starring in ‘Sakshyam’ alongside Bellamkonda Suresh.

Going by the latest reports, it is clear that Pooja Hegde will be the heroine in the NTR – Trivikram film. Though few names like Anu Emmanuel and others are heard, close sources to the production unit confirmed that Pooja Hegde will be sharing the screen space. The beauty pageant is also dancing for a hot number in Sukumar’s ‘Rangasthalam’ movie.

Director Surender Reddy took off to Mumbai to meet the Bollywood Megastar Big B, Amitabh Bachchan. Surprisingly, even Big B was not heard speaking about ‘Sye Raa… Narasimha Reddy’ anywhere in recent times. This only fueled the speculation (and rumours) that Big B has walked out of the project. Surender Reddy’s meeting with Amitabh Bachchan has finally put an end to all these speculations.

It is understood that Amitabh will be playing the role of Gosai Venkanna, the guru (master) of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy (Megastar Chiranjeevi), in the film. Gosai Venkanna played a very important role in the revolt against the British, according to historians.

In fact, it was under Gosai Venkanna that Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy transformed into a leader of the masses. Though the screen time of Gosai Venkanna, or Amitabh Bachchan in the film, will be limited, it would have a strong impact. For the very same reason, Surender Reddy wanted to rope someone like Amitabh Bachchan, who not only has a pan-India image, but also one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Indian Cinema.

The second schedule shooting of ‘Sye Raa… Narasimha Reddy’ will commence from February 23rd in Hyderabad. Both Amitabh Bachchan and Nayantara will be joining the sets.

The show Bigg Boss Season one has won the appreciation of TV viewers across the two Telugu states. In this regard, the planners have started arrangements for the season two. But NTR Jr might get replaced by three possible heroes.

NTR Jr nearly nailed the show and became a huge pillar in the success of Bigg Boss in Telugu. The audience got connected to him emotionally such that many wanted him to continue for other seasons. Due to his commitments, NTR Jr is likely to cut the contract with star Maa as his next is with Mr.Perfectionist S.S Rajamouli. So the show organisers started searching for replacements. They zeroed down the list to three names. The three young star heroes are Rana Daggubati, Nani and Allu Arjun. Rana is already doing the show Number One Yaari but he is rumoured to be offered a fat check to change shows. On the other hand, Natural star Nani is also in the race for his naturality on stage. The audience feels that Nani can pull the show off with his grace and simplicity. But organisers think that they should replace an on par hero to Tarak so they have finalized Allu Arjun in this category as well for now.

Allu Arjun is also showing interest to get close to the family audience via the small screen. Anyone among these three stars fit the groove according to the critics. Allu Arjun, for now, has only one commitment other than Naa Peru Surya. Nani is also busy with three flicks lined up. Rana is the busiest National star with National and International projects. It would be interesting to see a final selection among these three. Meanwhile, the makers of this show started enlisting possible housemates for season two. Their motto is to get the same or more TRP’s than season one. TV lovers are damn interested to know the participants and host.

Natural Star Nani’s productional venture Awe was released last Friday and is going pretty good in all the released areas. Let us have a quick look at its performance in Domestic and overseas markets.

For any flick, commercial success is much needed to make the buyers enter the safe zone without losses. When it comes to Awe, the flick is not even close to any commercial cinema but a complete out of box script. Nani put his blood and sweat in this movie trusting nothing but the script. The result is overwhelming as the movie impressed critics in a big way. Even though the first-day figures are not encouraging, the first weekend numbers clearly indicate that this flick is a winner. At the overseas, the movie not only collected $ 125K from the premiers but also crossed magical mark of half million dollars already. Now it is eyeing one million dollars club in the coming days. At the end of Sunday’s midnight show, this movie has raked in a distributor share of 4 crores worldwide thereby nearing safe zone. With no movies in competition except Tholi Prema, the movie is expected to end up with profits for all the buyers and producer in its full run. Multiplexes are still full in A centres and B, C centres are slowly filling up with good mouth talk in the two Telugu states.

Directed by a newcomer Prasanth Varma, this movie is bankrolled by Nani and Prashanthi. Kajal Agarwal, Nithya Menon, Regina, Srinivas Avasarala, Priya Darshi, Murali Sharma and other played lead roles in this flick.

Telugu Comedian Gundu Hanumantha Rao breathed his last today early morning at around 3:30 am. After spending some good time with his relatives in his home, in SR Nagar, the actor suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. Though he has been rushed to the Saint Theresa Hospital in Erragadda, the doctors declared ‘brought dead’. The actor is survived by only his son. His wife and daughter passed away a few years back.

Gundu Hanumantha Rao has been suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time. He is forced to undergo dialysis every alternate day, affecting him not only financially, but also morally and psychologically. His needs completely taken care of his son.

The actor is known for his comic roles in Telugu movies. Born on October 10th, 1956, he acted in more than 400 movies. He made his debut with the movie ‘Ahana Pellanta’ after he was spotted by Jandhyala during a drama act. He is well noted for his role in Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Yamaleela, Babai Hotel, Subhalagnam, and many more. His role as ‘Anji’ in Amrutham (serial) fetched him Nandi Award too. Furthermore, Chiranjeevi, TS Govt., and many others extended financial support to the actor.

Dil Raju is often regarded as the King of Nizam when it comes to film distribution. In fact, he was known as ‘Nizam’ Raju until the film Dil became a blockbuster hit. Since then, Nizam was replaced by Dil, making him ‘Dil’ Raju. In recent times, Dil Raju has been facing a tough competition from another distributor, Suneel who owns the ‘Asian Cinemas’.

Dil Raju failed to strike a good deal with the ‘Chalo’ producers, and let the film go. Meanwhile, Suneel from Asian Cinemas purchased the film’s distribution rights for around Rs 6 crores. The film has been performing strongly at the box office, despite its third week into its release. The film’s producers officially issued a statement that the film has collected Rs 23.31 Crores gross in its first two weeks. Adding to it are the satellite rights that were sold for Rs 2.5 crores.

Additionally, audio rights, digital rights and rest all meant, the producers bagged some excellent on-table revenues prior to the film’s release. No wonder, Dil Raju is greatly upset, or even crying, for missing out on ‘Chalo’ distribution rights.

The police have sized RGV’s laptop. The CCS DCP, answering to a journalist said that ‘if he would agree to whatever charges imposed on him, he would have been arrested by now. The law takes its own course’.
