It looks like the row over the Nandi Awards isn’t going to settle down in the near future. This time it is the turn of Akkineni Fans to express their dissatisfaction over the Nandi Award Jury. Personnel from the film industry and media houses have expressed concerns over the current selection of movies by the Jury for the Nandi Awards. With the announcement of Nandi Awards becoming controversial, many people were taken back by the recent developments.

On the other hand, many claimed that the awards were given to achieve political gain, rather than appreciating the talent. After Bunny Vasu’s controversial comments, now it is Akkineni fans who took Nandi Awards Row to another level.

‘They have insulted the team of Manam by credited it as a 2nd best film for the year 2014. We have no idea how did Legend went on to become the best film. It doesn’t have any message except extreme violence and killing all throughout the film. It would have been a true respect if ‘Manam’ was chosen as the best film of 2014,’ said Akkineni Fans.

The Nandi Awards are equally being criticized even by the common audience. Meanwhile, Akkineni Nagarjuna expressed his happiness after ‘Manam’ was awarded as the 2nd best film.

The issue started when Jeevitha wanted to sell the digital rights to a new company that made a higher offer. She has already sold the digital rights to a company at the time of the release of the film. Simultaneously, the producer of the film, Koteswar Rao claimed that Digital Rights of the film are with him.

A rumour is also spread that Koteswar Rao has even taken advance from a company for the film’s digital rights. Joining these three, a person who claims to have financed the movie has also come forward stating that he also has a share in the Film’s digital rights. From what seemed like a ‘paisa vasool’ the film is also standing for its Digital Rights controversy after 4 people claiming for their share in the revenue.

On the other hand, Jeevitha has stated that Koteswar Rao has come out of the production of the film, and he has got nothing to do the film anymore. The recent controversy has become a hot topic among the Telugu film circles.

Producer Bunny Vasu, who is known as a close associate to Allu Aravind and Mega family has fired on the Andhra Pradesh State Government. The producer stated, ‘It looks like the Mega heroes need to learn acting from the Andhra Pradesh State Government.’

These remarks have come in the wake of budding controversy about the Nandi Awards which were announced by the AP State Government recently. Bunny Vasu clearly conveyed his frustration after no one in the Mega family was awarded the Nandi Award. It looks like Bunny Vasu forgot about Megastar Chiranjeevi bestowed with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.

Though the producer did not make any remarks about whom he was referring too, it is clearly understood that his remarks referred Balakrishna’s ‘Legend’ movie. The film grabbed Nandi Awards for best movie, best director and best actor for the year 2014. Many film critics expressed that, it would have been sensible on the part of Bunny Vasu if he had been more precise in pointing a hero, whom he feels might have acted better than those conferred with the award.

Everyone knows the immense popularity of the film Baahubali. The film re-created the Indian Film History. It is widely known as the greatest Indian Cinema. Reportedly hero Sarvanand who agreed to act in a film under the direction of Prakash Kovelamudi under the ARK Media production has walked away from the project. According to the sources, Sarvanand initially accepted the proposal and agreed to work with K Prakash (son of K. Raghavendra Rao) and ARK Media productions. Even the script work is underway. Though, Prakash had seen flops with his ‘Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu’ and ‘Size Zero’, Sarvanand wanted to take the risk and go ahead with the project. The hero felt that the brand name of ARK Media would propel the film in the theatres.

But with reasons unknown, the young hero has walked out from the project. With a script already underway, and pre-production about to begin, the ARK Media production house is scouting for a hero, while Prakash is busy improving the script.

I sincerely apologize to her for failing to keep up with my promise,’ said Suseenthiran referring Mehreen Pirzada.

It is really shocking to see a director coming forward and apologizing for failing to keep up his promise. Mehreen did not respond to the director’s tweet at the time of writing this article.

After Raktha Chaitra there has hardly been any sensible film from Ram Gopal Varma. In the recent past, he is either scene making films on controversial subjects or people. Recently police officials have forced Kethireddy to stop his shooting and leave the NTR Ghat premises stating that director has not obtained any permission to do a shooting here. Post that, Kethireddy hurriedly did the Pooja ceremony and directed a ‘formal first shot’ and left the place along with this production unit.

Following that, the director received a severe backlash from the people of Nimmakuru Village. Nimmakuru Village is located in the Krishna district and is the hometown of Legendary actor and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Kethireddy who has gone to the village to shoot key scenes for his NTR Biopic named ‘Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham’ faced severe criticism and backlash from the people of the village.

The Panchayat head of Nimmakuru Village did not allow Kethireddy to shoot for his film in the village. Kethireddy hoped to pan some key shots as a part of NTR’s initial days for the film. ‘We came to know that this director is making a stupid film in the name of directing the great NTR. We cannot tolerate this and will not allow him to do shooting in this village’, said the villagers in an anguished and angered tone.

Kethireddy along with his production is looking to plan the shoot in another location. Kethireddy wanted to release the film in January 2018 itself. But seeing the backlash he is receiving, and with no prior permission from Lakshmi Parvathi it looks like the release of ‘Lakshmi’s Veeragrandham’ may not be possible. But Kethireddy is firm that he would release the film at any cost.

The latest poster of ‘Hello’ film starring Akkineni Akhil and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the lead pair is creating a sensation in the Tollywood film circles. The film is being produced by Akhil’s father, senior star-hero Akkineni Nagarjuna, while creative director Vikram K Kumar is helming the film. Recently, the father and son duo, Nagarjuna and Akhil stated that the film’s promotions are underway.

Akkineni fans were eagerly waiting for a teaser this time. But the film’s unit limited itself to the launch of the new poster. According to the poster, the film’s teaser will be launched on 16th of November, i.e., day-after-tomorrow while the film’s launch date is 22nd of December 2017.

The poster features Akhil in a daredevil stunt sporting a jump from a high rise building. The film has already gathered the attention of everyone in the Tollywood film industry. It is also heard that the film’s unit will be screening the teaser to a ‘select-few’ for a review and if required will make changes and release the teaser on November 16th.
