Prabhas Confirms Delay in Release of Kalki 2898 AD

Prabhas has officially confirmed that the release of the sci-fi film “Kalki 2898 AD” has been delayed. Prabhas, also known as Rebel Star, is currently working on a big-budget sci-fi movie directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Films. Despite fans eagerly awaiting updates on the film, Prabhas announced the postponement.

In a recent media interaction, Prabhas expressed his satisfaction with the result of “Salaar Part 1” and expressed eagerness to start working on “Salaar Part 2” with director Prashanth Neel. He mentioned having commitments and assured fans that they would finish and start the second part quickly.

Kalki 2898 AD has been Postponed

Prabhas clarified that his next film is a horror movie, referring to Maruthi’s film and not “Kalki 2898 AD.” There have been rumors in the industry that the release of “Kalki 2898 AD” might not happen this year.

Director Nag Ashwin had previously mentioned that a trailer update for “Kalki 2898 AD” was expected in April, and fans anticipated the film’s release on May 9 as initially scheduled. However, Nag Ashwin emphasized that he won’t release the film until he is 100% satisfied with the CGI work.

Meanwhile, the makers of Prabhas-Maruthi’s film have started promotions and announced an update for Sankranthi, aiming to release the movie on Dasara in 2024. Therefore, it seems Maruthi’s film will be Prabhas’s next theatrical release.
