Court stops screening of Rajasekhar-starrer ‘Shekar’ in theatres

Hyderabad, May 22 A court order has been issued to stop the screening of ‘Shekar’ in theatres with effect from 4.30 p.m., Sunday, May 22, until further notice, said actor Rajasekhar.

The local court has ordered that screening of ‘Shekar’ be canceled everywhere, citing the film’s total negative rights being attached. A financial disagreement has triggered the situation.

Following the court order, Rajasekhar took to social media to claim that the film’s screenings had been halted because of a conspiracy. Rajasekhar’s note reads: “Shekar is everything for my family and me. We worked very hard to bring this film to the audience. Shekar was garnering such a great response, but today,” he added, “Just out of spite, some people have conspired and stopped our film from screening. Cinema is our life, this film especially was our hope.. I’ve run out of things to say. I can only hope that this film will eventually get the visibility and appreciation it truly deserves.”

‘Shekar’, Rajasekar’s latest film, was released in theatres a few days ago. The film, directed by his wife Jeevitha Rajashekar, has received positive reviews from critics.

Mumbai, May 21 Sandalwood star Kichcha Sudeep’s pan-India 3D extravaganza ‘Vikrant Rona’ has been creating a buzz as the next big-ticket movie from the south.

Maintaining the tempo, the makers are releasing the first song from the album, ‘Ra Ra Rakkamma’, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez.

‘Vikrant Rona’ will introduce Jacqueline Fernandez as Gadang Rakkamma – The Queen Of Good Times in the first single to be released on Tuesday, May 23.

The song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Nakash Aziz while it will get you to dance on its quirky beats and signature chorus to shout out in your party arena. It will bring a perfect blend of a party number with some amazing beats to dance on that will redefine the dance numbers ever encountered on the screen.

Starting Tuesday, for five days, the makers plan to release one language version of the song each day.

‘Vikrant Rona’ will release worldwide in 3D on July 28, starring Kichcha Sudeepa, directed by Anup Bhandari, also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Nirup Bhandari, and Neetha Ashok is presented by Salman Khan Films, Zee Studios, and Kichcha Creations in North India.

Mumbai, May 21 Popular actress, and judge Mouni Roy opened up about her biggest childhood nightmare involving clowns on ‘DID L’il Masters 5’.

On the show, the 11-year-old Sadiya performed as a joker, showcasing the funny side and the evil side of the clown through the act of the song ‘Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon’.

After looking at her performance, Mouni shared about her childhood nightmare.

As Mouni said: “Sadiya’s act literally spooked me. In fact, I still have goosebumps on my hands. Not many people know, but I have always been very afraid of jokers since my childhood. I belong to a small town, and whenever I used to visit the circus, people with painted faces used to scare me every single time.”

Talking about Sadiya’s act, the ‘DID L’il Master’ judge mentioned: “Coming to the beginning of her performance, the lights were off, and no one had seen Sadiya till then. However, as soon as the lights were turned on, her menacing face painted as a clown, and her smile left me spooked. I think this act proved that she is a true artist, and her portrayal of a clown was really worthy of praise and appreciation.”

Hyderabad, May 21 Late Telugu movie writer Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s family held a special event at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad to commemorate his birth anniversary as ‘Sirivennela Jayanti’.

Some of the guests who attended the ‘Sirivennela Jayanti’ on Friday spoke highly of Sirivennela and their association with him including Mandali Buddha Prasad, Jonnavithula, and Suddala Ashok Teja, Thaman, Ramajogaiah Sastry, R P Patnaik, Krish Jagarlamudi, to name a few.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who was present at the event said, “Sirivennela will remain immortal and reside in our hearts through his works”.

The first volume of a book, compiling Sirivennela’s literary works, was launched in the presence of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, and others.

Telugu writer and director Trivikram Srinivas, who was one of the closest followers of Sirivennela, stated on the occasion, “I feel blessed to have spent the finest moments of my life in Sirivennela’s company”.

Huge crowds gathered to witness the tribute, as scholar Garikapati Narasimha Rao and other dignitaries from the film and literary worlds made their presence felt too. On the occasion, which was a heartfelt celebration of his legacy, several dance and music performances set to Sirivennela’s works were held.

The writer and lyricist Chembolu Seetharama Sastry a.k.a. Sirivennela is one of Tollywood’s greatest writers. Sirivennela’s contributions to the industry are unrivaled in terms of lyrical quality.

Dhanush sends legal notice to a couple who claimed he is their biological son

Chennai, May 21 Tamil superstar Dhanush has sent a legal notice to a Madurai-based couple who claimed he is their biological son.

Kathiresan and Meenakshi, a couple based in Madurai had claimed that Dhanush was their biological son and that he was their third son. The couple had said that he had run away from home to act in movies and had sought a maintenance amount of Rs 65,000 from him.

Dhanush and his father Kasturi Raja sent a legal notice to the couple through their lawyer Haja Mohideen Gisti and asked the couple not to make such fake claims.

The notice sent by the lawyer of the actor and his father read, “My clients hereby call upon you both to desist from making false, untenable and defamatory allegations against them henceforth. Failing compliance my clients will be constrained to approach the competent courts to protect their rights in this regard and prevent you from carrying such false claims.”

The notice also said that if such claims were made in the future both Kathiresan and Meenakshi will be prosecuted for causing defamation and consequent loss of their reputation.

The actor and his father also called upon the couple to issue a press statement stating that all the claims made by them are false and to apologize for it. The lawyer in the notice also said that if the couple failed to do so they will be slapped with a suit of Rs 10 crore.

Dhanush who according to records is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja argued that he was born to filmmaker Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi. The Madurai-based couple Kathiresan and his wife Meenakshi claimed that Dhanush was their third son.

The court had called for a DNA test but Dhanush and his lawyers had declined it as the superstar was asked by the court to undergo a medical examination to verify his identification marks and the results had proved inconclusive.

Dhanush has several hit movies to his credit including ‘Asuran’, ‘3’, and ‘Karnan’. He had recently got a divorce from the daughter of megastar Rajinikanth, Aiswarya Rajinikanth.

His new Hollywood movie ‘The Gray Man’ is to be released in OTT platforms soon and is highly expected.

In the pictures, Kanika is seen wearing a pastel color lehenga while Gautam complemented the bride with the pastel color sherwani with a turban. For her special day, the ‘Baby Doll’ fame looked stunning in pastel pink heavy embroidered lehenga paired with a choker necklace, mangtika, and bangles.

Earlier Kanika shared pictures from their Mehendi ceremony on her Instagram profile. She was dressed in a mint green lehenga, decked up with flowers. She captioned the picture: “G, I love you so much”.

During the Haldi ceremony, Gautam was seen wearing white traditional wear and Kanika looked stunning in her silver lehenga.

In their wedding video, Kanika can be seen walking the aisle under phoolon ki chaadar. Later, they performed the varmala ceremony.

Kanika was earlier married to Raj Chandok, with whom she has three kids Aayana, Samara, and Yuvraj. They got separated in 2012. As per the reports, Kanika and Gautam were dating each other for almost a year.

Hyderabad, May 21 The grand finale of Telugu’s OTT version of ‘Bigg Boss’ is now wrapped up as Bindu Madhavi lifted the title for the first season of ‘Bigg Boss Non-stop’.

There were seven finalists in attendance, as well as the host, Nagarjuna. The top five contestants remained after Baba Bhaskar and Anil Rathod were eliminated in the first round of the finale.

Mitraw Sharma finished fifth, while Ariyana, who finished fourth, took the suitcase containing ten lakh rupees because she knew her chances of winning the title were slim to none.
