Singer SPB Charan: ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ from ‘Sita Ramam’ is a timeless beautiful song

Hyderabad, May 31 Singer SPB Charan, who has lent his vocal prowess for the number ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ from the film ‘Sita Ramam’, has shared his insights on choosing to sing the song and croon for Dulquer Salman.

‘Sita Ramam’ stars Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna. The song ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ is composed by Vishal Chandrashekar and sung by SPB Charan in Telugu and Tamil.

“While every song is important and very special to me, ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ song is mesmerizing, it is a timeless beautiful song, and I am grateful for the opportunity to sing this song for the Tamil and Telugu version.”

“When I listened to the final product, I thought this song is going to be a big hit.”

Charan continues: “When you’re going to sing a song, you want to give it your all, I had a strong feeling when I first heard the song that this will be loved by all. But I didn’t expect it to be such a tremendous hit, and the song as a whole is really beautiful.

When asked about the lyrics of ‘Oh Sita, Hey Rama’ song, Charan adds: “As a singer, I’d want to highlight the song’s overall programming, the atmosphere, feel of the melody, and the way the string section comes into place, and once again, Kudos to Vishal Bro for this incredible work.”

When it came to performing a song for Dulquer Salman, Charan says, “Once I realized that Dulquer Salman was the main lead in this film, I was hoping that this movie will be done in Tamil as well, and I would get an opportunity to sing in Tamil and Telugu. I’m happy that I did both. I wish I had sung the Malayalam version too.”

“For Dulquer Salman, this is my first song. His talent is something I admire greatly. I’m grateful to be able to sing a song for yet another great performer, and I hope Dulquer enjoyed it as much as I did.”

Presented by the 50-year-old Vyjayanthi Movies and produced by Ashwini Dutt for Swapna Cinema ‘Sita Ramam’ is a beautiful love story set in the backdrop of 1965, this untold period saga is sure to linger and touch everyone’s heart and move them emotionally.

Along with Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur, Sumanth Akkineni, Prakash Raj, Director Gautham Menon, Director Tharun Bhascker, and Bhoomika Chawla, Rukimin Vijay Kumar, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and Rashmika Mandanna in a special role.

The movie is gearing up for a grand worldwide release on August 5.

Mumbai, May 31 Condolences continue to pour in for Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in his SUV on Sunday. After Vishal Dadlani, Kapil Sharma, Shehnaaz Gill, and A.P. Dhillon, now Canadian YouTuber Lilly Singh, Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan have mourned the loss of the young Punjabi singer-rapper.

Lilly penned a heartfelt note mourning Moosewala’s demise. The social media influencer and content creator took to her Instagram to share a pic of Sidhu Moosewala as she wrote how devastated she is by the news.

She wrote, “Absolutely devastating and upsetting news. To my global audience that may not be familiar, today a young legend in the Punjabi music industry was killed.”

She made an emotional appeal to her followers about streaming Moosewala’s music as a tribute to the departed soul.

“If you see tribute images of him today, please don’t keep scrolling, but rather take a moment to stream the music of Sidhu Moosewala. It has often been featured in my content and has always resulted in people asking me, “what song is that?!” Through his revolutionary music, he will live on,” she said.

“Beyond the care, he had for his community, he created the soundtrack that made many of us feel seen, a perfect blend of hip hop, rap, and folk music. Rest in power. Gone way, way too soon. Thank you for changing the game”, she further wrote in her note.

Similarly, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh too offered his condolences to Sidhu on Instagram. Ranveer posted a picture of Moosewala and wrote in the caption, “Dil da ni Mada” along with a broken heart emoji.

Varun Dahwan too shared a photo of the singer and wrote, “RIP. Your words and music will live on. Can’t believe this.”

Los Angeles, May 31Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson shared that his youngest daughter Tiana refuses to believe that he voiced the character Maui from the animated film ‘Moana’.

The ‘Moana’ voice actor shared an adorable clip of himself enjoying a tea party with his four-year-old daughter Tiana, reports people.com.

“Man these daddy/daughter/bunny tea parties have a special way of kinda putting life into real perspective,” Johnson, 50, wrote in the Instagram caption.

“My ‘why’ becomes even more clear,” he added.

“She just turned 4 and probably won’t remember this, but I sure will.”

The ‘Jungle Cruise’ actor also revealed that his youngest daughter “refuses to believe that her daddy is actually MAUI from one of her favorite @disneymovies, MOANA!”

“She always says, ‘Daddy, you’re not Maui, you’re The Rock’,” he explained.

In addition to Tiana, Johnson is also dad to daughter Jasmine, 6, with wife Lauren Hashian, as well as daughter Simone, 20, whom he shares with his ex-wife Dany Garcia.

In April, the actor celebrated Tiana’s fourth birthday, marking the day with a sweet post shared on Instagram.

“Big Easter/Tia’s birthday weekend!!!,” Johnson wrote alongside a series of images of Tiana’s birthday festivities.

“She runs around NON-STOP like the little tornado she is and when it comes to eating her birthday cake, it all comes to a hard stop – meaning I have to stop doing what I’m doing when she says…. ‘Daddy feed me’,” the proud dad continued.

Johnson often shares footage on social media of his time at home with his daughters. In March, the wrestler-turned-actor posted an adorable throwback video with Tiana, in which he taught her to tell herself a variety of positive affirmations in honor of International Women’s Day.

While holding Tiana close to his chest, Johnson asked her, “Can you say I’m a pretty girl?” which prompted her to adorably mumble back, “I’m a pretty girl.”

“That’s right, and even more important than that can you say ‘I’m an awesome girl?'”

Johnson then asked, to which Tiana replied with a smile, ‘Awesome girl’.

The father of three also taught his little one how to say that she is a “very smart girl.”

Mumbai, May 31 As his film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is all set to release on the big screen, Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar and his co-star Manushi Chhillar performed a puja on the banks of river Ganga in Varanasi.

He was then seen taking a dip in the Ganga.

Akshay took to Instagram, where he posted a video of himself wearing a pink kurta and holding a prayer plate in his hands with diyas and flowers in it. Manushi is seen standing next to him dressed in a pink salwar-kurta. In one of her pictures, Manushi is seen praying, folding her hands, with her eyes closed.

Before jumping into the river, the actor was seen standing on a boat and joining his hands over his head.

He captioned the video: “Team #SamratPrithviraj in Varanasi yesterday.”

‘Samrat Prithvira’j will release on June 3.

Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film is based on the life of legendary warrior Prithviraj Chauhan and his love for Princess Sanyogita.

Hyderabad, May 30 Naga Chaitanya, who is set to make his Bollywood debut in Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ has excitedly shared the film’s theatrical trailer but his fans appear to be dissatisfied with Chaitanya’s limited screen time in the trailer.

As per the ongoing buzz on social media, Naga Chaitanya’s fans seem to have expected more of his presence in the trailer of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which was unleashed on Sunday.

Despite the fact that this is the ‘Majili’ actor’s maiden Bollywood project, Chaitanya isn’t given much screen time in the trailer. We only see him in three or four shots. Chaitanya gets very little screen time in the trailer, which doesn’t satisfy his fans.

On the other hand, some Tollywood fans believe Chaitanya’s role in the Hindi remake of ‘Forest Gump’ is far more important than what is shown in the trailer, and thus advise his fans to hold off until the film is released.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will be released on August 11 and it could be a watershed moment in Naga Chaitanya’s career.

Hyderabad, May 30 ‘Guru’ actor Venkatesh Daggubati has been invited to the pre-release event of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming movie ‘Vikram’.

Venkatesh, who is currently savoring the success of ‘F3’ has agreed to attend the event, so as to promote Kamal’s highly anticipated action drama ‘Vikram’.

The makers are prepping for a star-studded event on Tuesday at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad from 6 p.m. onwards. Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and others are among the stars who will be at the event to witness the gala.

Jaya Prada keen to shift to Telugu politics

Hyderabad, May 30 Actor-politician Jaya Prada on Monday said that she is keen to shift to the politics of Telugu states.

The former MP and BJP leader told reporters here that she wants to become active in the politics of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.

“This time, I am very keen to come to the politics of Telugu states,” she said during an interaction with media persons after inaugurating a private skin and laser clinic in the city.

Recalling that she became active in national politics long ago, she said she now wants to serve people in Telugu states by making herself available 24×7.

Jaya Prada, who joined the BJP in 2019, said that since she is currently in the Uttar Pradesh cadre of the party, the decision about her joining the politics of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh has to be taken by the party elders.

The actress said she would request the concerned party panel to allow her to enter politics in Telugu states.

Jaya Prada, who hails from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, changed several parties, during the last 28 years of her political career.

She began her political career with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1994 by joining it at the invitation of party founder N.T. Rama Rao.

She backed Chandrababu Naidu when he led a revolt against his father-in-law N.T. Rama Rao and became the chief minister in 1995.

Naidu made Jaya Prada a member of Rajya Sabha in 1996 and leader of the party’s women’s wing. Differences cropped up between them when Naidu made another actress, Roja, chief of the women’s wing.

She later joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) at the invitation of Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh. She was elected to the Lok Sabha from Rampur in 2004 and re-elected in 2009.

Jaya Prada sided with Amar Singh after the latter revolted against Mulayam Singh. Expelled from the SP in 2010, she joined the Rashtriya Lok Manch floated by Amar Singh.

However, the party failed to make an impact in Uttar Pradesh and Amar Singh also went into political oblivion because of his illness.

In 2013, there were speculations that she may return to the TDP. She, however, ruled out this saying Chandrababu Naidu has lost credibility among the masses. By showering praise on former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had also dropped hints at joining the YSR Congress Party.

In 2014, Jaya Prada along with Amar Singh joined the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) led by Ajit Singh. She contested for the Lok Sabha from the Bijnor constituency as an RLD candidate but finished a poor fourth.

However, she joined the BJP in 2019 a couple of months before the Lok Sabha polls. There were speculations that the BJP may field her from the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat which the party won in 1998 and 1999. However, the party did not give her the ticket.

Jaya Prada’s latest remarks indicate that she may be keen to contest from Rajahmundry in the 2024 elections.

It was at Rajahmundry that she had started her film career at an early age. Once described by Satyajit Ray as one the prettiest women in the world, Jaya Prada began acting in Telugu films in the 1970s and went on to become one of the leading ladies of the southern film industry. She entered Hindi films in the 1980s and worked with several leading actors, including Amitabh Bachchan and Jitendra.

During her three-decade film career, Jayaprada acted in 300 films in eight languages including Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali.

Rana Daggubati’s ‘Virata Parvam’ likely to be preponed

Hyderabad, May 30 The film ‘Virata Parvam’ starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi is being prepared for release.

It will now be released on June 17, 2022, according to the latest information. The producers will apparently make an official announcement on Monday.

‘Virata Parvam’ billed as a love story set against the backdrop of a revolutionary war has been postponed several times. The film, which was supposed to be released last year, had to be put on hold due to the pandemic’s second wave. Even after that, the creators decided to keep it unreleased for unknown reasons.

The makers of ‘Virata Parvam’ have planned to start promoting the film as soon as they announce the details regarding its preponement.

The film is said to be a love story about a girl who falls in love with her favorite revolutionary writer and their story amidst the war, directed by Venu Udugula of ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’ fame.

Priyamani, Nandita Das, Nivetha Pethuraj, Priyamani, Eshwari Rao, Ravi Anand, Naveen Chandra, Zareena Wahab, and others played pivotal roles in this film.
