‘KGF: Chapter 2’ makers start ‘Bagheera’ shoot with Prashanth Neel’s script

Bengaluru, May 20 After the massive success of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, its makers launched their next venture ‘Bagheera’ on Friday.

The muhurat of the movie was held in Bengaluru. The movie heralds the return of ‘Ugram’ star Srii Murali and ‘KGF’ Director Prashanth Neel.

While Prashant Neel had directed ‘Ugram’, he is penning the script of ‘Bagheera’.

‘Bagheera’ is set to be another action thriller from the production house, which is on a dream run.

‘Bagheera’ is slated to be released next year.

The movie directed by Dr. Suri will be extensively shot in Karnataka and Hyderabad, with major shoots happening on the outskirts of Bengaluru and in the Mysore region.

On the occasion of Srii Murali’s birthday, the first look poster for Bagheera, featuring the actor in an angry avatar, was released in December 2020. The final star cast of the movie is yet to be revealed by the makers of Hombale Films.

The production house has been on a roll this year with several big-ticket announcements.

‘Soorarai Pottru’ director Sudha Kongara was also roped in recently for a major project by them, alongside they are launching Puneeth Rajkumar’s nephew Yuva Rajkumar in another untitled movie which will be directed by Santhosh Anandram of ‘Rajkumar’ Fame.

‘Kantara’ and ‘Raghavendra stores’ are the other two upcoming movies that will be released under the Hombale banner.

Following the pan-India success of ‘KGF Chapter 2’, Hombale Films is focused on making projects that can be released on a national scale. Their upcoming production venture ‘Salaar’ starring Prabhas will also be released in five languages.

Mumbai, May 20 As his film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ releases on Friday, Kartik Aaryan, who replaced Akshay Kumar in the sequel of the 2007 psychological horror-comedy, compared the ‘Guru’ actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande.

Kartik was speaking with YouTuber and comic artist Tanmay Bhat during the promotions of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ when he was shown a picture of Aishwarya Rai with her hair tied up in a high ponytail.

Looking at the picture Tanmay said, “Oh right, she does look like Ariana Grande,” to which, Kartik replied, “Rather, Ariana looks like Aishwarya Rai.”

The video since then has gone viral with a lot of people sharing the clip across the platform. People took to the comments section of the video and supported Kartik’s line of thought. One social media user wrote, “Totally yes!! And though I like Ariana, she can’t be compared to Goddess Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.”

Another user shared the clip of the interview and said, “I love how Kartik Aryan said Aishwarya Rai is not looking like Ariana rather Ariana looking like Aishwarya.”

Meanwhile, Aishwarya is currently in the French Riviera town along with her husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya. Aishwarya, who is a regular attendee at the Cannes Film Festival for years now, marked her presence at the 75th Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet recently where she was seen dressed in a black floral gown.

Mumbai, May 19 Actor, and writer Adivi Sesh are unfazed by the prospect of a box office clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’ which is slated to release at the same time — June 3. Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ sets it up for a box office face-off with at least two other big-ticket releases at the same time. Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ are also releasing in theatres on June 3.

However, Adivi Sesh is confident that ‘Major’ will emerge as a winner at the box office.

At the song launch of ‘Oh Isha’ on Wednesday, Sesh was a picture of poise and humility when responding to a question on the topic. “I think practically speaking, we have the biggest film in Telugu, ‘Vikram’ is the biggest film in Tamil, and ‘Prithviraj’ is the biggest film in Hindi but while there are big fish in the sea, we are the goldfish.”

‘Major’ is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, hero of the Mumbai terror attacks.

The bilingual film was shot in both Hindi and Telugu and will release in Malayalam as well. Produced by Sony Pictures International Productions in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies, Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and stars Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Prakash Raj, Anish Kuruvilla, and Murali Sharma.

Chennai, May 19 Ever since its release on May 6, the Arun Matheswaran directorial ‘Saani Kaayidham’ has been grabbing attention on several counts. Apart from the hard-hitting story, the movie is being noticed for performances by the lead duo – actor Keerthy Suresh and reputed director Selvaraghavan.

Selvaraghavan’s portrayal of Sangaiyyah has taken audiences by surprise. Many of them are taking to social media to express their appreciation for Selvaraghavan’s acting.

Hyderabad, May 19 ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’, a commercial entertainer starring Mahesh Babu, has successfully completed its first week with record-breaking collections from all centers.

Even after six days in theatres, the film, which also stars Keerthy Suresh, Subbaraju, Samuthirakani, Tanikella Bharani, and others, refuses to slow down in the terms of box office receipts.

The Parasuram Petla’s directorial’s worldwide gross is Rs 171 crore in the first six days of release, according to the makers of the film, making it the highest-grossing first-week film in Tollywood history.

According to reports, the film’s distributors and producers have also decided to slash ticket prices starting Thursday in the Telugu states.

Of the global gross of Rs 171 crore, Andhra Pradesh-Telangana accounted for Rs 132 crore, Karnataka and the rest of India Rs 13.3 crore, while the overseas gross was Rs 25.7 crore.

After sparking intense speculation on social media over its OTT release, SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster ‘RRR’ is going to stream on the OTT platform – Zee5 on May 20.

first, the zee5 announced that the movie will be available only for premium users, but now today it has announced that the movie will stream for free from tomorrow onwards. The information was shared on the Zee5 social media handle.

The SS Rajamouli directorial that had a theatrical release on March 25, cruised into the coveted Rs 1,000 crore club, within 16 days of its worldwide release. It is now the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time, according to industry watchers.

Starring Ram Charan and Junior NTR, ‘RRR’ is a fictional period drama revolving around two Indian freedom fighters- Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

The film received applause for its commendable performances, magnanimous cinematic scale, action, and drama from across the globe.

‘RRR’ also won Ram Charan and Jr NTR unanimous praise and appreciation from the audience and critics alike.
