Cardi B wants to live on a ranch

Rapper Cardi B has shared that she wants to live on a ranch despite never having been around farm animals before.

Cardi met country musician Mickey Guyton and shared that she wanted to see if she would get on with life away from the city as she said: “I’ve never been around farm animals.”

“I really want to have a farm, and I’m trying to convince my husband that we can actually have a farm (on) our property, but I’ve never been around farm animals, you know, I’m a real city girl,” she told Guyton in a video, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Guyton questioned Cardi: “So you’re gonna teach me?”

To which she replied: “No, you’re gonna teach me.”

Cardi has had little experience on the farm herself.

“No, no. I can’t teach you. I don’t know how to be a farm — a ranch hand or any of that,” she said.

Cardi held onto Guyton’s pregnant belly and said: “Wapin’ got you here in the first place.”

Guyton said: “It did get me here in the first place on this quarantine.”

Debate around captaincy a distraction Kohli doesn’t need: Pietersen

The debate around whether India should stick with Virat Kohli as Test captain will continue because the team has lost its last four Tests and due to the presence of Ajinkya Rahane, says former England captain Kevin Pietersen.

“I absolutely don’t expect things to change, but it is impossible to avoid the continuing debate around the Indian Test match captaincy. Virat Kohli has now lost four consecutive Test matches as skipper, and has Ajinkya Rahane, who just led India to a famous series win in Australia, in his side,” Pietersen wrote in his blog for Betway.

Under Kohli, India lost two Tests in New Zealand early last year, the first Test against Australia in Adelaide in December and their first Test against England in Chennai this week.

On the other hand, Rahane led the team to a remarkable 2-1 win in Australia after their heavy defeat in Adelaide. He is yet to lose a Test match as India captain.

“On social media, every radio station, every television channel, and every news channel, there are very deep discussions around what should happen. Captaining your country is very difficult and unfortunately, this is the nature of the beast,” said Pietersen.

“It’s one more distraction that Kohli doesn’t need but he is, of course, capable of leading his side to a victory in the second Test to quieten things down a bit,” he further said.

Pietersen also feels England fast bowler Stuart Broad is under pressure to deliver in this series. Broad was benched in favor of speedsters James Anderson and Jofra Archer. With Archer ruled out due to an injury, Broad could be selected for the second Test that starts on Saturday in Chennai.

“Whereas Anderson has now conquered each country he has played in, the one thing that Stuart Broad hasn’t done is performed in India. His record — 10 wickets in six matches at an average of nearly 54 — isn’t spectacular at all,” Pietesen said.

“Anderson and Broad are hailed as an incredible partnership, and of course they have been, but this is the difference between the two. If Broad wants to be globally recognized as a bowler that delivers in all conditions, he’s actually under quite a lot of pressure to perform in the second Test,” the former batsman said.

Mahie Gill: I’m not very marketable

Actress Mahie Gill feels that she is not very marketable, and adds that the pressure of delivering hits is surely scary for bigger actors.

“I say this about myself, I am not very marketable in the sense that I can run a movie on my shoulders,” Mahie told IANS, adding: “This scare is more for bigger actors. It is scary for these actors. It is scary for these people.”

Mahie seems to have to secure a position among actors for whom performance matters more than the box office pressure. “If your film doesn’t work but if you are appreciated as an actor you keep getting work,” she pointed out.

Mahie made her debut in Bollywood in 2003 with “Hawayein” but she became a familiar face playing a new-age Paro in Anurag Kashyap’s 2009 release, “Dev.D”. Her notable Bollywood roles have been in “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster”, “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns” and “Gulaal”.

Mahie agrees that the industry can be unforgiving because actors are defined by their hits and misses.

“It does make a difference. If on a Friday a film doesn’t work, there are problems definitely. This is the way it works,” she said.

The actress, who was last seen in the digitally released film “Durgamati”, will soon be seen in Mahesh Manjrekar’s web series “1962: The War In The Hills”. The show unites her on-screen with her “Dev.D” co-star Abhay Deol.
