Telangana road transport corp to send legal notice to Allu Arjun

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has said it would send a legal notice to the Tollywood actor Allu Arjun and bike taxi app Rapido for allegedly tarnishing the State-owned transport operator’s image.

TSRTC Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar has taken serious exception to a Rapido advertisement that features Allu Arjun. In the commercial, which is being aired on YouTube, the actor is seen telling people that RTC buses take more time like cooking an ordinary dosas, but Rapido would be so fast and safe that it would prepare a masala dosa in the same time.

The corporation said in a statement that the commercial had drawn flak from many people, including RTC commuters, as well as its admirers, staff and retired employees. “They are condemning the negative manner in which RTC buses have been shown in comparison to the Rapido service. Demeaning the TSRTC will be tolerated neither by the TSRTC management, nor by the commuters, admirers and our own and retired employees,” the statement said.

Sajjanar, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, said actors should appear in advertisements that promote public transport for an environmentally cleaner society.

He requested all actors, celebrities and eminent personalities, who are in a position to influence public opinion, to desist from promoting content that is “detrimental to public transportation and public good.”

Big B’s ‘tie-bows’ on ‘KBC13’ impresses President of Nauru

Designer and stylist Priya Patil, who is behind Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ look, is on Cloud Nine. She was most pleasantly surprised when she was approached on behalf of the President of Nauru, Lionel Rouwen Aingimea, because he was most impressed by the Big B’s ‘tie-bows’.

Located in the Pacific Ocean to the north-east of Australia, Nauru is the world’s third smallest nation after the Vatican and Monaco. The ‘tie-bow’, created specifically for the Big B by Patil, is a bow with a tie suspended from it.

Sharing her surprise and joy over the interest shown by Nauru’s President, Patil said: “In the Republic of Nauru, one will find a number of Bollywood fans. They consume a lot of the Bollywood content. The President was fascinated by Mr Bachchan’s wardrobe, the way he carries himself and his style. He was so interested in the ‘tie-bows’ that he also wanted them.”

Continuing with her story, Patil added: “A member of the Government of Nauru contacted me and asked me if I could design for the President a collection of ‘tie-bow’ and other accessories. Honestly, it is an honour for me, more so because Mr Bachchan is adored by so many and is the ultimate fashion icon. It is such a big compliment for me.” She said she would later design the president’s wardrobe.

Patil described how she would go about making the ‘tie-bows’ for the President. She said she had received a mood board with various aesthetic elements associated with the island-nation, for example, its national bird, the colours of its nation flag and its official crest, as well as the colours and themes the president likes. Based on these inputs, Patil said she would design her collection for the President of Nauru.

Drama never ceases to stop in the ‘Bigg Boss 15’ house. The current season of the reality show has surpassed all levels of fights, drama and mind games.

Last week, during the captaincy task in ‘Bigg Boss 15’, Umar and Simba were battling it out being in the opposite teams. The two got into a verbal spat and Umar started abusing Simba, this soon turned into a heated argument. Simba pushed Umar into the swimming pool and threw a basket at him while passing some problematic remarks against Umar.

The followers of the show were eagerly waiting for ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode anticipating the show host Salman Khan to give an earful to Simba for his behaviour. But to their dismay, Salman categorically ignored Simba’s actions and went on to talk about less important things for the round up. Many users took to social media to express their anger and demanded Salman’s resignation as the show host.

One user wrote, “Shame on @ColorsTV @BiggBoss for cleverly muting the part where bimba called #UmarRiaz atankwadi & salman didn’t even discussed that matter, @BeingSalmanKhan did umar provoke ur bimba even for this islamphobic comment?? AUDIENCE WITH UMAR RIAZ (sic).”

Another user tweeted, “Being a fan of @BeingSalmanKhan it pains me to see the way the makers of #BB15, hand him over a scripted pitch which holds no truth!! Shame on @ColorsTV @EndemolShineIND Siimba Nagpal ko #UmarRiaz ne uksaya nahi tha. Aur yeh poori duniya ne dekha hai. AUDIENCE WITH UMAR RIAZ.”

“I think silence of @ColorsTV #Biggboss15 against Simba speaks that they will put an excuse that this push was during execution of task so demands no action but still waiting how @BeingSalmanKhan will name & shame Simba for his inappropriate islamophobia remarks & his push,” another user wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Salman had told Simba that what he did to Umar was wrong. However, he said that he could understand that Simba’s actions were a response to Umar’s constant instigation. As a punishment, Salman announced that Simba will not be eligible to participate in the Race to Finale tasks in the upcoming week. But, Salman’s stand on the incident did not go down well with a lot of netizens.

‘Hone Laga’ adds romantic touch to ‘Antim’ soundtrack

Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma-starrer ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ is one of the most awaited films of the year, and one reason for the anticipation is its soundtrack.

The album opened with the devotional and festive track ‘Vighnaharta’ and soon took a sharp turn with the party number titled ‘Bhai Ka Birthday’. Keeping up with the concept of constantly serving different flavours, the makers of the film have now released the third song from the album titled ‘Hone Laga’.

The track, a romantic musical exhibition sheds light on the crackling chemistry between Aayush Sharma’s character of Rahuliya and Manda played by Mahima Makwana. The song adds a different dimension to the film’s universe of action, crime, and violence. The song starts with playful notes on mandolin before seamlessly transitioning into a soothing rendition, performed by Jubin Nautiyal.

The track lets the audience peek into the vulnerable side of Aayush’s character of a ferocious gangster in the film. The music for ‘Hone Laga’ is composed by Ravi Basrur, with lyrics penned by Shabbir Ahmed and choreography by Shabina Khan and Umesh Jadhav.

‘Antim: The Final Truth’ is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, produced by Salma Khan, and presented by Salman Khan Films and it is due for release on November 26.
