The Defense Minister and officials frequently visit the border security forces and military officials to get a clear understanding of the security issues from time to time. They also enquire about the wellbeing’s of the soldiers and other security personnel and usually have high regards for them.

In this context, whenever the Defense Minister visits the border forces, they are called as ‘Sir’ with respect. But this time, the Defense Minister of India is Nirmala Seetharaman. But this has caused a bit of confusion about the security forces who are habituated to address the Defense minister as ‘Sir’. It is learned that during Nirmala Seetharaman visits the soldiers are getting confused on what to call her. Few have said ‘Jai Hind Mam Sabh,’ while others said ‘Jai Hindi Sir’. To end this confusion, Nirmala Seethraman has taken a decision.

She has advised the Army officers and respective personnel to call her as ‘Defense Minister’ rather than referring her as Sir or Mam Sabh. With the clarity from Nirmala Seetharaman, the Armed forces were out of confusion.
